Book review : Seasons of blooming by @doreenotaru

I finished Seasons of Blooming a few days ago, and GIRL, I still have so many feelings about this book. 🥹🤍

When I started reading Solehn’s story, I didn’t expect it to affect me this much. Watching her move from New York to Austin was not easy for her, leaving her only friends she had behind, and trying to adjust to a completely different life was already emotional, but what really got me was seeing how much she changed because of the people she surrounded herself with. Her mom and her only brother haven’t shifted to Austin with her, and something broke in her.

Solehn isn’t a perfect character, and that’s what made her story feel real. There were times when I wanted to shout at her and give some sense into her, but there were also moments when I just wanted to hug her. She was trying so hard to fit in, to be accepted, and to figure out who she was that she didn’t always realize what she was losing along the way. And honestly, that hurt.

The friendships, the family drama, and the consequences of her choices made this story so much more than just a coming-of-age book. It shows how easily the need to belong can make us forget ourselves.

BUT CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT ALEXANDER? BECAUSE THAT BOY HAS MY HEART. 😭💗
There was something so special about the way he cared for Solehn. He didn’t have to be loud about it or make grand gestures; the little things were enough.

And the rain and the yellow umbrella? PLEASE, MY HEART COULDN’T TAKE IT. 💔I also wasn’t prepared for THAT incident. I genuinely had to pause and process everything because WHAT WAS THAT, DOREEN? And the ending? Definitely not what I expected.

I was sobbing like a baby when I had reached to that accident. Oh my god, I can’t even express what I was feeling at that time.

Seasons of Blooming left me emotional, thoughtful, and wanting more of these characters.

Definitely a memorable October read. 🌷🤍

I’m just an Ana paglu, and honestly, I’M SO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO THESE CHARACTERS. 😭🫠❤️‍🩹

Asher and Scarlet stole my heart in Book 1, and then Vincent and Brooklyn came along in Book 2 with their chemistry and stole whatever was left of it. LIKE, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW ONE AUTHOR CAN MAKE ME THIS OBSESSED WITH HER CHARACTERS?! 😭❤️‍🔥

And now I have to WAIT for Book 3, The Keeper?! ANA MA’AM, PLEASE, I NEED IT IN MY HANDS ALREADY. I’M NOT READY, BUT I’M ALSO SO READY. 🥹😭🫶🏻

Being an Ana paglu is a whole different kind of emotional damage, and honestly, I WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. ❤️‍🩹 by @shanu.readss

Book review : Entangled shadows by @malikadauthor

Entangled Shadows is the second book in the Book of Shadows series, and it tells the story of Zain and Ameerah. In the first book, Zain was a walking red flag for every girl, but after knowing what his father had put him through, I could understand that there was so much more to him than what we saw. Life was never easy for him. But in this book, he finally gets his rah. 🥹💜

This is not an easy love story. It’s a healing romance about two people who have been hurt in different ways and somehow find comfort in each other.

Four years ago, Ameerah wrote a letter to Zain, and he kept it with him along with her diary. He used to write down everything he felt for her, all the things he could never say out loud. The way he held on to those feelings, even when he had given up on life and believed there was no one left for him to laugh with, was heartbreaking.
I love how Ameerah has accepted his past , and she still choose him even with everything that had happened. They both became a path of healing for each other, and I loved seeing that side of their relationship. ❤️‍🩹

Apart from the romance, the book also has suspense and family secrets that keep you hooked.

And Asif, Zain’s father, and Umair, Ameerah’s father? I honestly cannot imagine fathers doing such horrible things to their own children. The manipulation, the bitterness, and everything they put them through were so heartbreaking to read. Some of their actions made me genuinely angry.

Overall , Entangled Shadows is a story of love, pain, healing, and second chances. It shows how the right person can help you face parts of yourself that you thought were lost. Zain and Ameerah have been gone through so much, and watching them slowly find their Rah to each other made this story special. 🥹🫶🏻

Book review: Not Safe for work🩷✨

Being a Bombay girl, this story felt so close to my heart. I could literally picture every place that was mentioned, and it made the whole reading experience even more special.

It’s an office romance where Neil is Kavya’s assistant, and I absolutely loved the corporate chaos.

My favorite part has to be their email conversations. Those mails were honestly the highlight of the book for me. I was smiling and giggling through every exchange because they were just so much fun to read.

And let’s not forget Neil, a rich man who chooses to travel by Mumbai local train just for Kavya. That was such a simple but beautiful gesture, and it made me love his character even more.

But this book isn’t just a romance. It’s also a heartfelt story about people trying to build a life in Mumbai , those who leave their hometowns, to chase their dreams, and struggle to find their place in the city.

The little moments they shared, visiting SRK’s house, the bandstand scene, and all the memories they created together made the story feel so real. It felt like they were living the Mumbai dream I have always imagined.

(Not safe for work review, office romance, enemies to lover , cute banger, slow burn)

A family man by @inkbychaitali 💙

Nalayak Beta × Vyapari Khopdi

Love this duo! ❤️

A Family Man is the story of Anini Chauhan and Zoram Rathore. It has everything I love - fake dating, family drama, a bad boy, old wounds, and SO much chaos!

I was so into the story until that one turn. I was rooting for them so hard! But honestly, if there’s no drama, is it ever a happy ending? 😭😂

Reva, oh baby!!! She is the sweetheart of this book. 🥹❤️
Her bond with Anini and Zoram made the story even more wholesome. The chaos and banter were absolutely bang on!

Anini is honestly one of the smartest characters I’ve read. The way she comes up with ideas… 😭👉🏻👈🏻

And when these two started feeling something for each other, even my heart was beating along with all those dhols and giving me butterflies! 🤭🦋

My heart = 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

It was the perfect slow-burn book, and I absolutely loved watching their relationship develop.

Now I’m just waiting for Not a Family Man, releasing on 1st October! 😍

Friendship is one of the most important bonds a person can have. With time, it either grows stronger or falls apart because of misunderstandings.

Horn Okay Please is the story of two friends, Rohan and Yugveer, who haven’t spoken for ten years, whether due to a misunderstanding or because they were trying to protect each other? They were completely out of touch, no calls, no messages.

Once, while Yugveer is on his way back to Dehradun, he gets into an accident with a truck… and the driver turns out to be Rohan. If that’s not a universal sign that even destiny doesn’t want their friendship to end, I don’t know what is.

What I loved the most is how the author takes us back to their childhood, their silly moments, their bond… it reminded me of my own friends at so many points.

This book proves that real friendship doesn’t fade. It doesn’t disappear. It stays right there, waiting for one honest conversation. If you’ve ever lost touch with a friend, read this book. You’ll feel every emotion. Or give it to that friend… maybe it will bring something back.

Book review: Fated hearts by @hayatkhan_theauthor ✨♥️🧁

I am on an emotional rollercoaster, one moment I am grieving the pain, another moment I want to try again, and finally, I feel like living again.

No, this isn’t just a love story; it’s a story of grief, pain, and healing. ♥️

Saad and Amal have gone through so much, and I felt every emotion. The story is perfectly balanced. I love how Saad remembers the small details about Amal. From the kitchen to the cafe, he remembered everything about her. It is the bare minimum love any woman can ask for.

On the other hand, Amal had never dreamed of that kind of love in her life. Her world revolved around Safiya and Amina, and she was happy around them. But Saad, oh my god, I am so happy to see them together.

Sana’s story made my heart break. I had to ask God why He had to do that to her. It’s not easy to go through what Saad has been through. And Amal, she was her sister. My heart broke even when I imagined that scene.🥺

This story delivers so many messages: Everyone deserves love, and fate has its own way of healing what is broken.

I am in love with this book.😍✨

I have read her other book as well from this series, and I absolutely loved it. She just doesn’t write about love; she also tries to give us a message through her book, which personally I loved.🧁♥️

Book review 🥀🩷
In Book 1, Nawal lost everything: her fate, her dignity, the only man she had started loving, her husband, and everything she believed in.Forgiving You felt like healing after everything that happened in Facing Fate.Seeing Salman slowly trust Nawal again made my heart so happy. He has been through so much, and I’ve always had a soft spot for him. He deserved this peace.

Daud’s life is complicated, especially with Susan, while Salman and Nawal are finally finding their way back to each other. And Susan and Yousef… after everything they went through, seeing them finally build a family together was so satisfying.I won’t lie, I hated Daud in the first book. There were so many moments where I just wanted to slap him. But this book completely changed that. He accepted his mistakes instead of running away from them. He worked on himself, fought for Susan, and tried to become a better person. Somewhere along the way, I found myself rooting for him.

One thing this book reminded me is that healing isn’t easy. Sometimes you have to face the pain instead of avoiding it, because that’s the only way to move forward.

The author did such a beautiful job with both books. In Facing Fate, she made me question Daud’s every action, and in Forgiving You, she made me understand him. That’s not easy to do as a writer. And seriously… how does she write such beautiful romance while breaking my heart at the same time? 😭🤍 I absolutely love her writing

Book review: Facing Fate by @hayatkhan_theauthor

When I Started reading Facing Fate , thinking it would be a sweet, lovey-dovey romance book. But I wasn’t , It’s an emotional rollercoaster that will make you feel everything: love, anger, heartbreak, and hope. It’s story of Daud, Salman, and Nawal. Daud and Salman are cousins, but their relationship is far from simple. After putting in so much effort, Daud expects to become the CEO, only for his grandfather to hand the position to Salman instead. As if that wasn’t enough, both cousins end up falling for the same girl.I absolutely loved Daud and Nawal’s story.

The way their bond grows, the care they have for each other, and the love between them was beautifully written. I was completely lost in them until the story took an unexpected turn that shattered my heart. It was a point I hated him little. Was it all for the a game? Or did he truly love her? One lie was enough to tear everything apart. Then comes Salman and Nawal’s story. Salman had loved her long before Daud and Nawal’s story even began. He had been silently waiting for her for years, carrying those feelings without saying a word. His silently yearning made his character even more emotional to read.

Every character’s has been written with depth, and each of them brought something meaningful to the story. And that ending? The cliffhanger completely caught me off guard and left me desperate for answers.Since I’ve already finished Book 2, I can confidently say that this cliffhanger was absolutely worth continuing for. I’ll be sharing my review of the second book soon!
