Do you know a mother who needs diapers?

I got to go behind the scenes with @sharebabymd and see the heart, people, and work that goes into making sure families in our community have access to the essentials their babies need.

And honestly? This is the kind of community work I want to keep putting y’all on to.

From diapers and wipes to clothing and other baby essentials, ShareBaby is helping families right here in Maryland.

September 14th - 20th is Diaper Need Awareness Week, but supporting families shouldn’t be a one-week conversation.

If you’re a Maryland mom, know a family who could use support, or simply believe in showing up for our community, follow @sharebabymd and share this reel.

It takes more than diapers to care for a little one. 💜

At ShareBaby, we support young children with more than just diapering essentials. From clothing and coats to other basic necessities, our work helps families access the things growing children need every day. And it takes more than diapers to make that happen. Together, our community helps provide the essentials that help children feel safe, cared for, and ready to grow. by @sharebabymd

To help ease the load, we’ve teamed up with Share Baby @sharebabymd to provide free essentials for infants and young children in our community.

Whether you need diapers, clothing, or everyday items to help your little ones thrive, support is available right here in your neighborhood.

November is Prematurity Awareness Month. About 450,000 babies in the U.S. are born prematurely every year. (Source at the link in our bio.)

No one plans for a preemie. You go into pregnancy preparing for a full-term baby: newborn-size diapers, a going-home outfit, a nursery that’s ready. Then your baby arrives early (sometimes months early) and suddenly, none of those plans fit. Including the diapers.

Preemie diapers are tiny, a different size from newborn, and often hard to find. Most people don’t even know they exist until they need them. 💜 by @sharebabymd

November is Prematurity Awareness Month, and one of our own has a story to tell. 💜

Meet Hailey, our Operations Manager. Her second child, Nora, was born at 34 weeks. In this video, Haliey shares what that was like: the early labor, the weeks in the NICU, and what it meant to dress a baby in tiny preemie diapers. She also shows us a preemie diaper and a nano diaper - yes, it’s even smaller!

Today, Nora’s 13, thriving, and taller than her mom. 💜

Thank you, Hailey, for sharing your story with us.

To every family who has walked through the NICU, we see you. And to every parent who needs help getting diapers for their baby, whatever the size, ShareBaby is here. Learn more at sharebaby.org. @marchofdimesdmv by @sharebabymd

We’re grateful to partner with Holabird Academy Judy Center to help connect families with the essential resources they need. Partnerships like this allow ShareBaby to reach families where they are and make sure children have access to essentials that support their health, comfort, and well-being.

We’re proud to work alongside organizations that are committed to strengthening our community and supporting local families. Thank you, Holabird Academy Judy Center, for being part of the ShareBaby community! by @sharebabymd

Last week, a few of us from the ShareBaby team traveled to New Jersey for the U.S. Conference on Poverty and Basic Needs, hosted by the National Diaper Bank Network. 💜

Two and a half days with diaper banks and advocates from across the country, and we came home with full hearts and fresh ideas.

A few highlights:

-A fireside chat with New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill, Dr. Chelsea Clinton, Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation, and Lisa Asare, President/CEO of the NJ Maternal & Infant Health Innovation Authority
-Remarks from Amy Faugas, Chief of National Member Services at the National Diaper Bank Network, on what the conference represents and why they bring us all together
-Amazing vendors and breakout sessions that were informative and engaging
Meeting people from across the country who are working to end diaper need in their communities
-Tour and dinner at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey
-Wednesday evening's NDBN 15th Anniversary Gala, complete with a DJ and plenty of dancing

Thank you to the National Diaper Bank Network and everyone who hosted and welcomed us.

Today, we’re saying it out loud: We care about you! 💜

On National I Care About You Day, we’re celebrating the people who make ShareBaby’s work possible: our volunteers, donors, staff and community partners. Every hour volunteered, every donation given and every person who shows up to help means more support for families and little ones in our community.

So today, ShareBaby Sunday is a little reminder that we see you, we appreciate you and we’re grateful you’re part of this community! by @sharebabymd

Real change happens when organizations come together to meet families where they are.

The Transformation Center works on the front lines of the community, responding to the needs of local families and providing resources, support and hope. Through their partnership with ShareBaby, they help connect families with essential diapering supplies and the resources they need to care for their little ones.

We’re grateful to partner with organizations like The Transformation Center that are committed to showing up, serving their communities and making a meaningful difference! 💜 by @sharebabymd
