The years, months and hours I've spent on this important body of work, finally, I can share it. . . . To share knowledge and histories with individuals through various art mediums. A chance to share a story about our relationship to water throughout the 36,000 non-consensual voyages our ancestors took across the seas. . . . #ancestors #blackart #Africannovascotian #blackhistory by @she.nubian

ANCESTORS 🎨🖼👩🏾‍🎨 I've created many things but nothing like this. I love learning about our history, people, our stories, intrigued by our strengths; I love us and thanks to those who sacrificed and made a way for me.🩷 #Africannovascotian #Africannovascotianartist #blackartist #blackhistory #blackstories #blackart #blackloyalists by @she.nubian

My life has been blessed with opportunities abundantly and I am so grateful and appreciative of the path my career is taking. Thank you to all the supportive and encouraging people who continue to ride for and with me. 🩷🩷🩷 #Africannovascotian #blackart #blackloyalist #blackartist #ancestors by @she.nubian
Just beautiful. The experience, the exhibit, the space 🩷 Thank you @adele_blais for your work by @she.nubian
This beautiful place has so much history it's hard to fit it all in in just 7mins. The Black Loyalist Heritage Centre tells the story of the world’s largest free African population outside of Africa, in the late 18th century in Nova Scotia. If you haven't been, It's a must-see! It's all around amazing ✊🏾🩷 Journey back to Birchtown is such a beautiful event held each year. Honoring and celebrating our ancestors🩷🩷 #Africannovascotian #blackloyalist #blackhistory #africancanadian #Journeybacktobirchtown #Canadianhistory #blackloyalistcentre #bookofnegreos #blacknovascotia #blackpeople #ancestors #emancipationday #emancipation #slavery by @she.nubian
