On June 6th, 2026, after mutual aid at the FSUMC People’s Church, @daughtersandsonsofboriken visited the Barrio Artspace and came across some folks from a Puerto Rican Pride parade. We chopped it up some and took some pics for the moment. Shoutout to @shewhoiscrowned for showing up at the People’s Church for mutual aid and to perform spoken word poetry @nuyorican_uptown_salon_111st! by @shewhoiscrowned

“It’s OK to not know, but it’s NOT OK to not care.” 💡 In our final clip, Alberto drops his single greatest piece of advice for anyone looking to make a difference: just start. With an open door policy around the clock, Daughters and Sons of Boriken is dedicated to educating and showing up for our youth whenever they need it. Don’t let what you don’t know hold you back, the most important step is simply taking action.
