POSTS STORIES REELS

October was a little all over the place, and apparently, I made it my mission to consume as much fictional crime as humanly possible.

Nine mini-series watched. NINE. Almost all thrillers, mysteries, murder, and suspicious people doing suspicious things.

Except for one. Not Suitable for Work. I got attached to the characters, made it my whole personality, finished the season expecting MORE, only to discover five minutes later that Hulu had cancelled it. Anyway, I’m still grieving.

Add a few books, one of my perfect reads EVER (Blood Over Bright Haven), some animes, and little moments captured along the way, and that’s October!

Now tell me: what was your favourite read or watch this month? And did you discover anything worth adding to my ever-growing watchlist? 👀

So, what are we reading these days? 👀

Let’s make coffee and start a new book. ☕📖

A little coffee, a few pages, and the excitement of meeting a whole new set of fictional characters. honestly, some of my favorite moments are the quiet ones like these. 🙂‍↔️✨

what are you reading with your coffee today?

let’s choose my fall TBR together! 🍂📚

I used a bookish roulette to pick 5 prompts and chose one book for each. Now it’s time to see how many I can actually get through this fall. 👀

here are our prompts:
🍂 a book set in a college or university
🍂 the most popular book on your shelf
🍂 a book by your favorite author
🍂 a Middle Eastern fantasy
🍂 a book considered a classic

your turn! use these prompts to build your own fall TBR, tag me so I can see your picks, and let’s do this together. 🫶🏻

also, if you’d like to buddy read any of these books with me, let me know in the comments. we can make it happen!

autumn officially starts when I rewatch Dead Poets Society 🍂

a book, a warm drink, and this movie playing in the background… that’s basically the whole mood.

tell me I’m not the only one who has a movie they have to rewatch every autumn?

This time, it’s either this book or me, I’M FINISHING IT despite my slump.
How was your back to school/back to work season? 🌝👉🏻👈🏻 by @shh_minahsreading

I know I’m a little late to this one.

After the launch of Asset Bound, life happened. I stepped away for a while, and between everything going on, I never really got the chance to share with you or talk about the work behind this project the way I wanted to.

But maybe that’s fitting, because this was never just about a launch day.

For Asset Bound, I got to experiment with something I love: taking words on a page and finding ways to make them exist outside of it. Through visuals, ideas, details, and little pieces of creativity that hopefully made people curious enough to step into the story.

The butterfly was one of those pieces: a small symbol, but one that carried so much meaning. And this makeup was my way of wearing the mission for a moment longer. 🦋

I also wrote a new Field Note about this whole experience: “From Words to Vibes: Marketing as a Form of Adaptation.”
A little story about what happened when marketing Asset Bound.

Available now on Substack.

(And yes, I finally got to share the butterfly pictures 🤍) by @shh_minahsreading

Three languages. One brain. A lot of missing words.

Some days I feel split between the languages I live in, not fully belonging to any of them, yet thinking and feeling in all of them at once.

This Substack piece is about that in-between space: where language shapes who you are, and also quietly fragments you.

Read it on Substack, link in bio.

What language do you feel most like yourself in?
And what’s a book you still associate with someone you love?

I’m the reader I am today because teenage me had taste and a concerning attachment to fictional characters 💕✨

The books in the third slide shaped me. The books in the second slide own me now.

And yes… that mysterious “AB. Coming soon” is there on purpose 👀

Tagging some people I NEED to see do this trend because I’m nosy about your literary character development:
