POSTS STORIES REELS

A few weeks back on my birthday I accidentally had the privilege of being part of a @colinsmithtakespics photoshoot at @victoriamarketcollective thanks to @downtownvictoriabc (which I had tried to avoid 😜) - and I’m so grateful for these great snaps by a great human with my GREAT business partners!

And now for the Pocket Belts! Shi Studio’s Autumn special pricing release continues…. 🍁🍂

Shi Studio’s pocket belts offer style and function. Not too big, not too small, they are streamlined, while allowing for the essentials. I have worn mine travelling, hiking, dancing, walking or at a show or festival as a great accessory. 💃

Each beautiful pocket belt is designed and crafted by Kyla. Her leather working magic is accented with a silk shi piece for a little sparkle of shi. 🤩

Until Oct 15th shop from this limited selection shown here for $125 (regular $158). DM me with which one you love?!!

It’s been quite the year! I have been quieter on social media as life has been full with the myriad of all life may bring. At Market Collective we moved two stores (exciting yet intense), I had to make a very hard decision for ArtisTREE Festival to not move forward (not enough funding) AND my amazing husband JF went through a big surgery.

In the midst of the intensity it became apparent to me that I also needed to evaluate choices honouring presence, love, friendship and my passion for my creative endeavours. Making true time for what really matters. I’m not sure I’m that great at balance but at least I’m trying and aware. And feeling so much love for my husband, friends, our beautiful province, and the ability to live a creative life.

Here are some summer highlights…. by @shi_studio

❤️ I LOVE collaborating with Victoria based jewelry creator Cory Judge @shi_studio to create truly unique wearable art!

Fun fact ✨Cory and I met at my very first market back in 2007 and that’s where the idea for this collaboration was born ! We have been doing the collab for many years now !

I print mini version of my art on Canvas that Cory turns into jewelry. The ‘Royal Dogwood’ collection features embellished prints with gold and silver and was originally created to be gifted to Kate and Prince William by the Governor General of B.C. when they visited Victoria ! (What an honour to create art for royalty).

These mini prints are headed to Cory and will be available as jewelry at @circlecraft market in November as well as at @victoriamarketcollective locations in Victoria plus on the Shi Studio website ❤️

As I began my hike today at East Sooke Park, it struck me how a place can act as a marker in one’s life. I realized I have come a handful of times to this magical spot over the last 30 years, and each time I have come for grounding and rejuvenation, and left touched and uplifted.

The consistency of place becomes the background to our stories as we grow and evolve. At another transformative space in life, I yet again have gratitude for the freedom and possibilities that surround us everyday in the simple choices we make to appreciate the moments.

Today I took a moment or two. And it was lovely! by @shi_studio

This little video popped up on my phone and I had to share. Shale and I had so much fun doing this forest photoshoot in 2021.
I have been so busy with moving 2 locations of our Market Collective shops I have been remiss in posting. Cheating a bit here but why not?! It’s cute and I had to share. 😝💕

Sending early summer love to all. 🩷
