POSTS STORIES REELS

Over the years, Shinzen has created room for people to share experiences, challenge perspectives, and learn from one another. From Lagos to Ibadan, every gathering has been another opportunity for us to grow together.

Now, we’re taking those conversations all the way to Kigali, Rwanda, to broaden our perspectives, and learn from the experiences of young Africans beyond Nigeria.

Join us at the African Leadership University on Thursday, 26th November.

I promise you, this whole thing started as a side project. Look where we are now, feels unreal.

This is huge for us @shinzen.co and I’m honored to be stewarding this project as we chase the next conversation outside our immediate context.

I’m looking to connect with young Africans in Kigali, to understand what problems we’re facing and begin to innovate solutions on a pan African basis.

These are exciting times. Thankful to everyone who has supported us so far, it’s still day 1.

It’s been a month since Shinzen Ibadan Edition, and we’re still thinking about the conversations, the lessons, and the people who made it special. by @shinzen.co

A month ago, we gathered in Ibadan to explore a simple but powerful idea, “Permission is a myth”, and the conversations that followed were honest and vulnerable. Here’s a recap of the moments that brought the idea to life. Grateful for everyone who showed up!❤️ by @shinzen.co

See you July 3rd. 🌀 by @shinzen.co

People who do great things aren’t superhuman. They simply understand that nobody needs to give them permission to be who they want to be.

What’s standing between you and the version of yourself you keep putting off? What conversation, decision, or confrontation have you been avoiding, the one that would finally unlock everything?

That’s what we’re getting into.

Be in the room at the valedictory Shinzen Ibadan Edition — Friday, 3rd July 2026.

It’s been a week since Shinzen Lagos Edition, and what stands out the most is how much we all learnt, grew, and realized we’re not alone in the In-Between. An amazing experience with even more amazing people!❤️ by @shinzen.co

We asked people a few questions at Shinzen, and here’s how they answered! Shinzen 3.0 was more than just an event, it was voices and dreams, and we’re grateful they shared them with us❤️ @chimamaka_adeniyi @kimberlydirisu @_ebikekeme @oluwademiladee_s by @shinzen.co

We had really cool people over for Shinzen 3.0! Grateful for everyone who showed up and showed out❤️ by @shinzen.co

“Make it exist first, then make it perfect”

The reason I’ve been publicly documenting the journey of building Shinzen is because I want to pass across this very ideal.

One of the things I seem to be good at is execution, especially when it has to do with my ideas. I realized along the way that what comes naturally to me might not come naturally to other people, and so I decided to document publicly, to show that it’s not magic, it’s not juju, just “do it”.

You can only build confidence by proving to yourself over and over again that you are who you say you are. There’s no affirming your way into self confidence. You have to stack up proof.

Shinzen Lagos was an item in my notes app in January of 2025, and I’m excited to have brought this to life, alongside @marhvey_ , and our team of volunteers @blossom__ub @adelekefeyi @elvis.nwoko @talia.oe @ti.oluu @f.avourrr

People came in from Ibadan, surprised me from UK, and travelled from different parts to attend this event. I cannot be more grateful.

To every single person who bought a ticket, and thought that their money and their time was worth investing with us, thank you. It’s still day 1, we’re still chasing the next conversation, and God is always glorified.

To my amazing speakers and facilitators, @makua.ugwunze @leaderbill_ @ibiyemi_shindara and our ethereal performer @chimamaka_adeniyi , thank you for pouring yourselves out to the community. God bless you.

To the newly built Shinzen community, keep your eyes peeled, Lagos today, London soon. It’s still Day 1🤞🏽
