How a personal need turned into changing the way we go out. Hi, if we haven’t met, I’m Shirah🥂 I started NightCap at 16 after my friend’s drink was spiked. I realized you can’t protect the people you love when they go out. I thought of the idea of a scrunchie that doubled as a drink cover when I was sleeping. States are finally catching up to what we’ve known the whole time, drink safety should be standard, not optional. If you’re a legislator working on a bill like this or considering one in your state, I want to talk to you. We’ve spent years studying this problem, building solutions, and watching what actually works. If you’re a nonprofit, brand or a student at a university and want to protect your community, DM me or email shirah@nightcapit.com. by @shirahbenarde

Hiii I’m Shirah, I invented the scrunchies that cover your drink at the bar after my friend had her drink spiked. I thought of the idea when I was sleeping, woke up and created the first prototype out of my mom’s stockings. NightCap now creates drink covers for no matter who you are or what you’re drinking, because despite your gender or age, anyone can be a target for drink spiking. We’ve literally had customers say they’ve found pills on top of their NightCap because a perpetrator didn’t see it in a dark club. Please protect yourself and never leave your drink unattended. #safety #goingout #scrunchies #drinkcover #drinksafety by @shirahbenarde
