A meaningful day at BR Hills with the Fashion Design students of NIFT Bengaluru. 🌿

Our visit to ATREE created an opportunity to interact with members of the Soliga community and learn more closely about their relationship with the landscape, culture, materials and everyday life.

For the students, it was a chance to move beyond classroom learning and engage through observation, conversation and direct experience.

Thank you to the Soliga community and the ATREE team for the warm welcome and for sharing their knowledge and experiences with us.

Been observing how nature builds — layer by layer, curve by curve.
Trying to translate that rhythm into form through digital modeling and computational exploration.

“where do you find your references?”

it’s the question i get asked the most. and honestly, i never have a straight answer. usually, i just say “everywhere.”

but the truth is simpler: i’ve just always been the quiet one.
the one watching. absorbing. memorizing the chaos of a texture or the silent geometry of a leaf before i even knew what “design” was.

i think that’s why these 3D forms touch people in ways i can’t explain verbally. they feel familiar because they aren’t invented. they’re remembered.

it’s not about adding; it’s about stripping away the noise until the structure reveals itself. quieting the chaos to hear the form.
i’m just trying to give that silence a shape.
