Nova’s birthday and book launch, all in one ✨ And this whole spread? Done in under an hour… closer to 45 minutes. A mix that kept everyone happy chicken nuggets, fries, mini pizzas for the kids… and for the grown-ups? chicken sandos, salt & pepper prawns, chicken & waffles with spiced maple syrup, puff puff, fresh fruits, and a table full of light bites to keep going back to. And don’t forget to check out Nova’s book filled with beautiful positive affirmations for little ones 💫 @the_modernvillage_ #CreativeCatering #BirthdayParty #grazingtable #FoodSpread EventCatering #kidsparty by @shola.jay
In this spread, it was all about the details. Every fold of draping. Every platter placement. Every garnish. Every flavour layered with intention. This was a curated celebration of some of the finest tastes from the island of Jamaica, brought together in a way that felt immersive, refined and unforgettable. Because what makes us thrive is not just the food. It is the precision. The atmosphere. The experience. And trust me, this is the kind of table your guests will remember long after the night ends. #eventcatering #catering #creativecatering #grazingtable by @shola.jay
This was the spread that changed everything. I wasn’t launching a business. I wasn’t planning a pivot. I just wanted to see the idea in real life. One post later… and it took off. Well over 100 bookings since then, and a brand built on refinement, intention and experience. Funny how accidents sometimes reveal your calling. #catering #business #grazing by @shola.jay
Here’s how it all started. If I had waited until I was ready, I wouldn’t be here. This was my first ever attempt at creating a small-bites concept outside of ready meals. Foundervine had booked me to cater an event at Wray & Nephew, and I had this idea of people being able to grab, mingle, network, and move effortlessly. This setup embarrassed me. Not because it failed. The food tasted great. People enjoyed it. But because it didn’t reflect what I knew I was capable of. The vision in my head and what was on that table didn’t align. Little did I know, in that moment, I was birthing what would later become Ivory Gaze. A brand now known for making sure the aesthetics match the quality of the food. That disappointment forced me to refine, which is something I’ve always been good at. And that refinement became the foundation of everything I do now. I’ll share what happened next in part 2. #catering #business #grazingtable #founder by @shola.jay
Eight years in food. Two years building this version of the dream. Before Ivory Gaze, there was a ready meal brand doing well over six figures… all from my home kitchen. No warehouse. No big team. Just vision and consistency. Then I pivoted. Now, two years later, we’re recognised as a go-to catering brand for corporate activations, team events and luxury celebrations. If you’re new here, follow along. I’m sharing the real journey, not just the pretty tables. #founder #catering #food #eventcatering by @shola.jay
The week of love called for something special. So we set the table for a Caribbean love story. Canapés of steamed cabbage with fried plantain, Barbie fry chicken, escovitch fish with baby festivals, creamy mac & cheese, curry chicken with roti, lamb patties, and pepper prawn crostini. Then the buffet: curry goat, rice and peas, and rasta pasta. Dessert brought it home. Red fruit towers, coconut & ginger cheesecake, rum cake with warm rum glaze and cream, and banana pudding served tall. #catering #grazingtable #eventcatering #creativecatering by @shola.jay
Whispers, waltzes, and whimsical indulgence. We brought the era of Marie Antoinette to life with a spread as graceful as the gowns. Pastel treats, soft draping, and every detail dripping in decadence. #RegalSpread #CreativeCatering #MarieAntoinette #DrapedTables #LuxuryEvents #GrazingTable by @shola.jay
The 18th Edit. A night to remember, soft white drapes, red roses in full bloom, and laughter echoing across the rooms. Family, friends, and elegance woven together in one beautiful moment. #CreativeCatering #LuxuryDining #catering #draping #buffetspread by @shola.jay
Wrapped in grace, laced with joy.🩷 by @shola.jay
When the cakes are this pretty, how do you even choose? 1. Ombre vintage tiers (a classic!) 2. Triple chocolate lilac dream 3. Blue + grape piped beauty (very era-appropriate) 4. The wild card: ruffles, figs, hojicha, florals Four cakes. One Bridgerton theme feast. Zero crumbs left. #cakes #teaparty #bridgerton #partyfood #teaparty by @shola.jay
Zaina’s birthday was pure magic, just like her. We designed a dessert spread straight out of a storybook: enchanted garden vibes, pastel colours, and whimsical sweets treats for days. 🍰🧚‍♀️ A dream celebration for the sweetest 10-year-old we know. #BirthdayParty #CreativeCatering #EventStyling #DessertTable #Catering #DessertSpread #kidspartyinspo by @shola.jay
