Writing Storm helped me survive a challenging chapter in early adulthood. Songwriting was a gift at the time in helping me to process. And finally recording Storm 3 decades on, with the insight of time has been another layer of healing. Feeling so grateful for everyone that collaborated on this track. Thanks so much to James @forestcreekrecords for your compassion, encouragement and magician production skills, Manny (cello), @orvoravel Orvoccki (violin), Adam Dempsey @adamdempseymastering (mastering) and @blameart (bringing my Artwork concepts alive). Storm is out today. It feels incredibly vulnerable to unveil a dark chapter of my early 20s. Songwriting was therapy back then and it was cathartic to record Storm 30 years on. Super grateful for James @forestcreekrecords (epic production), Manny (cello), Orvockki @orvoravel (violin), @blameart and @adamdempseymastering for all working magic on this track. Hi friends and family, I’m excited to announce, that “Songbird” is out today on streaming platforms! 🕊️ (link in bio) This song explores 💔, hope and ultimately the outcome of healing through songwriting and collaboration. Written in 2015 and recorded recently. A huge Thankyou to @forestcreekrecords for bringing this song to life and @adamdempseymastering for the final touches. @orvoravel (opera) Manon Maund (cello) and James McGuffie (production, vocal harmonies). @blameart for capturing my Artwork vision, featuring John Waterhouse’s “The Siren” (1900) mixed with my own art. 🙏 I’ll always be super grateful for the love and support of friends and family who supported me through the chapter.
