🏎️🏎️ 💨 Catch me while you can 🩰 🩰 FALL SCHEDULE DROP! Rootin’ & tootin’ fall season is upon us and boy howdy do I feel alive. Already have more cooked up for November, but here’s a little taste my babies. One of these things is not like the other and I’d like to take time time to shout out my drag debut for @rouxlala_nola benefitting PFLAG NOLA on 10/9, come see me out from behind the booth for a good cause! 🎃 Can’t wait to see you! by @shopjables

BOY HOWDY - have I been ready to share this one with you. This is what I’ve been carving away on in my silence. And goddamn does it make me so happy. Name and backstory still pending, but this was a joy to make. Really one you just have to see in person. I want the bug people to carry me off into the forest. 🪲🐌🦗🌲🍃 by @shopjables

It’s DONE! Now I just need to actually submit it. My mixed media piece for the Joan of Art exhibition in association with Krewe Jeanne d’ Arc. Not only am I member this year, I decided to participate in their annual fundraiser. This piece is made out of a repurposed thrift store canvas, vintage fabrics, scrap EVA foam and water damaged chainmail rings. Weathering is my favorite thing. This piece really pushed me to combine my new found love of textiles and my core bread and butter, EVA armor construction. From the googly eye faux rivets to the hand stitched hair, this just brought me back to all my favorite methods. Now let’s see if I can get in, if not…no regrets, I adored this process and she can come with me to ren fair in November. 🗡️ swipe to see some close ups! by @shopjables

Rougarou Fest is a WRAP! Went in pretty blind and wound up having a great time in Houma with you little cryptid lovers. 🧟‍♂️🐺 Made more stock than I’ve ever brought to any event, pushed myself in ways I didn’t know I could land and this wound up being my most successful event to date. What a beautiful time and I recommend attending this one for anyone. The pride that people had over Cajun folk culture was just so refreshing and lovely. Shout out to my incredibly fun vendor neighbors ( @the_emo_alien, @therealrobertkahil, @christiekahil) and the amazing show runners - truly one of the best executed events I’ve attended. ❤️ oh I’m coming back next year and I got some plans! Snag some masks & other goodies that survived the rougarouuuuuu this Friday @shecomesinpeace as well as Sunday @ The Healing Center for a day of the dead celebration market hosted by @oddstoryland. Let’s wrap our October with a bang! 🧡🖤 now if you don’t mind imma make my Halloween costume and nap for a little bit. 😴 by @shopjables

AHHHHH! BABY’S FIRST DRAG PERFORMANCE!! L.Rich Horror hit the stage for @rouxlala_nola ‘s Dragging Ass Amateur Drag show as the creepy little goblin creature that is my soul. Accompanied by Otu, my puppet dragon brother that I think really stole my spotlight 😂 🐉 YES I did make Otu, a fake arm for my puppet illusion to sell, a scaled up replica of a 1980s McDonald’s happy meal bucket, and my facial prosthetics myself. This was my maiden voyage on the drag stage and I literally (as 🧀 as this sounds) could not have done it without my pals. Massive shout out to @nutriarat.shop & @easy_bake_coven_nola for being the best damn handlers a devil man could ask for, my partner @panopticonsciousness for being my extra set of hands in the studio while piecing this together, and my good friends (all tagged in our cutie pie photo) who all came out and supported me, seeing y’all in the crowd kept me moving. What a fun night benefitting @pflagno with so many talented folks present. Just a reminder guys to keep drag weird, represent kings in queen dominated spaces and be a freaky little goblin man on a Friday night in New Orleans on a crisp October Friday if you get the chance! 🧡🖤 by @shopjables

Hey sorry I’ve been so quiet on the timeline. I flew to California ✈️ came back and birthed a dragon 🐉 can’t wait to show y’all what’s on the slab. #puppetry by @shopjables

Some overdue hoop love! With the season change I have @rougaroufest on my mind. 🎃 Put together some painted and stitched sentient pants 👖 (AKA my favorite cryptid the Fresno nightcrawler) as well as my baby the Flatwood’s Monster in the spirit of cryptids. Swipe for another heart face baby because I’ve been overdue for some free handed thread fun. As always, secondhand materials all the time. ♻️ Halloween fun doesn’t have to be landfill maxing, support local spooky artists this season. Also I’ll take this time to let y’all know I’ll be out of state for about a week or so starting tomorrow. Y’all hold New Orleans down for me while I’m gone, ya hear? 🧡 by @shopjables

2 more painted bombshells enter the villa….and I have 2 more on the work table. Bags snagged from the bins and Upcycled by hand with a fresh paint job. Fabric / leather friendly paints and sealants used for longevity. Sunny gal 🌞 is already snagged but billiards and 2 new friends will be available this Saturday @spacecircusartmarket popping up at Mojo on Freret! 🎱 by @shopjables

BRUFF was a BRU-last! Big thanks to @rouge.house.br for being a lovely host & to BR for always being good to me. BR you can catch me next time @sweetfleabr on 9/12 @ Leola’s! Local announcements coming soon. 📣 🧡 by @shopjables

My love letter to the Flatwood’s Monster. Be she alien or beast, I love her. Made out of a secondhand porcelain mask base, scrap EVA foam & vintage textiles; she is ready to hang on your wall this spooky season or beyond. Check her out in person @batonrougeunderground ‘s artist market hosted by @rouge.house.br this Saturday & Sunday! Swipe for a video to see her in motion. 🌲 👽 ❤️ by @shopjables

Another mask in the books. ✍️ I love making these guys sooo very much, and I let the spirit lead me on this one. I came in with one plan is it greatly shifted in the most fun way. My magical guy who I would 10/10 eat berries with while sitting on a moss bed in the middle of the forest. Sculpted with air dry foam clay (so she’s super light) on a secondhand porcelain Mardi Gras mask base. Perfect for hanging in reading rooms, bathrooms, doctor office waiting rooms and more. 🌱🍄‍🟫🍂🐌🌞 by @shopjables

Hair clip restock before @pietymarketnola! Worms & eyes are back in stock and I have plenty of slugs still up for grabs. 🪱 Yes that is also exactly 1 sims plumbob. All sculpted and painted with love. Some new incense holders, lighter cases and hoops will be up for snags tomorrow. Stay tuned for teasers of those 📺 by @shopjables
