Local-focused retail spaces are much more than just a place for a quick browse. They remind us of the wonderful, growing community of local artists in our city. At EAC Shop, being right in the heart of downtown allows the work of our local artists to be seen by many. City Councillors and staff come in one their way to and from City Hall, Edmontonians stop by on their way to the office and visitors just passing through the city step inside for souvenirs. A space like ours is valuable for emerging and professional artists for their career and to find community with other local artists in the city. Thank you to our long-time vendor @karenbartist for inspiring this post with her recent comment. It meant a great deal to our team and we hope many of our artists feel the same way. "I appreciate being a part of this wonderful community of local artists - the value of being in a space like this has helped my art career immensely. You do such a wonderful job curating and displaying our work :) Thank you" - Karen Bishop by @shopyegarts
