The Pinnacles Desert

Like something from another planet, this landscape is extraordinary. A must visit.

The Pinnacles Desert

Thousands of limestone pillars rise from the dry sandy beds of the Nambung National Park. They were formed approximately 25,000-30,000 years ago when the sea receded and left deposits of coastal shells. Over time the sea winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving behind these fascinating pillars with some as high as 3-4 metres. Hope you enjoy seeing my photos as the landscape transitions from day through to night.

Duneira Estate.

Set amongst the backdrop of Mount Macedon, this beautiful home and garden was first established in 1872. It was the perfect day to wander and explore these magnificent gardens for their annual bluebell festival. 💙💙💙 by @shots.by.sheryl

Wombat Park Estate

I was able to attend a lovely open garden this weekend and had a wonderful garden tour by the current owner. Wombat Park Estate was established in 1854 and is nestled in the heart of Daylesford in country Victoria. The arts and crafts style home was built in the early 20th century and it is surrounded by 250 acres of spectacular gardens that can be traced back to the mid 1850’s when it was established by grazier William Stanbridge.

Schwerkolt Cottage

This pioneer stone cottage was built in 1884 and is located in Mitcham, Victoria. The cottage sits along with historic outbuildings including a barn and smokehouse. Loving finding new places to explore in Melbourne and its surrounds.
