WIGGLE WIGGLE 🦭 by @show.me.nature

We spent the night in a Swedish igloo and it was actually surprisingly comfy.

Thanks @kirunahusky for a memorable stay! 🥶 by @show.me.nature

Back in 2016 I spent 6 months living and working in Costa Rica for an amazing wildlife rescue centre, the @toucanrescueranch.
.
Although an amazing variety of creatures came through our doors for one reason or another, the animal I worked closest with was the Sloth.
.
One of the biggest difficulties facing sloths in Costa Rica, and the reason we saw so many at the ranch, is that the telephone wires are not insulated. This means when wildlife use these power lines to cross a road they often get electrocuted! It was heartbreaking to see the devastating results of a situation that could so easily be avoided. Adults lost limbs to electrical burns and baby’s lost mothers.
.
The Sloths in Costa Rica touched my heart so when I was asked to write a blog about these little beauties for the Tico Times I of course said yes! 🥰 by @show.me.nature

Planning a trip to Mexico? Here’s my guide to the best wildlife photography spots near Tulum and Cancun 📸 Save this post so you can refer to it later.

Belize, where Brown Pelicans rule the coasts. There's something about seeing these birds fly in formation over the waves that never gets old... until they swoop overhead and I'm ducking to get out of the way!

Fun fact alert 🤓 Pelicans have a special trick to beat the heat - they pant like dogs! Opening their bill and fluttering their ‘gular pouch’ with each breath.

Our first wildlife encounter of the trip and boy was it a good’un 🙉 Spider monkeys will forever hold a special place in my heart after working with them at a wildlife rescue centre.

Seeing them swing freely through the trees was a heartwarming experience!
