Today im showing how we make axle Nuts 🥜 … This is ALSO a fun one! 👀 (Follow up to last weeks video)

So this is an ATV Axle nut that i make…. This part has many ops ( this is the Nut portion not including the main body ) 2 ops on the lathe and 1 final in a 5 axis Mill..

What i want to point out in this video is the multiple ops it takes…. As you can see the geometry of the pinch bolt area etc…
👀 Back before i had a live tooling lathe and 5 axis cnc Mill …you can imagine how many ops this was with a 2 axis lathe and 3 axis mill.
Can you guess how many ops ? Comment below 👇🏻

Broaching splines with a lathe? 🧐 This is a fun one! 👀 I don’t video the lathe very often as it is very hard to capture.. but lets give this a try 🤷‍♂️

What i want to point out in this video is the broaching .. what a cool process! We do this on many pcs from steel to aluminum… but being how many splines this has it sure looks cool. Cycle time isnt bad either and it holds tolerance very well (in aluminum)

Have YOU broached in your lathe? If so id love to hear about it in the comments 👇🏻

Mark and I are always trying to improve these products…. After @markthebutcher spent hours Testing / Racing…. We made the decision that the OEM rear master works better with the larger aftermarket calipers (faster bleeding, more progressive feel)

I went ahead and designed a new sprocket cover, and Brake pedal to make these changes…

That being said, here is the new setup for the Sportster Hooligan rear set kits available at hooliganracing.com 😎

04+ coming sooner than later?! Comment if you want this.

Hooligan Racing Rear Set kit… should we do one for 04+ Sportsters ? #harleydavidson #motorcycle #cncmachining #billet by @shredspeedmfg

Small part…but challenging and many operations 👀.
Dialing in the broaching was a fun one… but @haas_automation makes it easy.
