‘Claí na Péiste’ (Worm’s Ditch) is a new work/animation on view @templebargalleryandstudios, Dublin.

Tá croí lán buíochas agam 💕 and I feel very lucky to have worked with many brilliant daoine on this project.

Buíochais le Slua Mór - a.k.a core studio gang. Keith Kavanagh’s mad skills and mad talents in hand drawn animation. Aoife Balfe and Rory Kerr for their special effects, super compositing and editing skills. Andrew Loughnane for the CGI animation. Aoife Ward and Jack Rogers with the help making puppets and sexy harnesses.

Special thanks to Karyn Hunt who came especially from Berlin to co-direct the puppet scene. Dancers Aoibhinn O’ Dea and Jack Rogers for trusting us to dance with na daoine maithe and muppet pulp. Also Luke Faulkner (camera), Leigh Arthur (camera stills) and Aoife Ward (wardrobe). Thanks to Leigh Arthur and Aoife Balfe for their ongoing guidance through the looping, shape shifting production schedule : )

Thank you to Jonny Dillion @nationalfolklorecollection (UCD) an early and sound guide on this research path. Thank you especially to Cliodhna Shaffery and Michael Hill at Temple Bar Gallery Studios + Gallery, who supported this project from its innings, and continued to support its growth and final realisation. Thank you to Éimear O’Keane for the super massive billboard design. @m___hill said it’s likely the closest arts organisation in the world to a Mac Donald ’s. It's approx. 8 feet away, didn’t anticipate the golden arches to reflect and crown ⭐️Muc 🐷at night. lol.

This film was made with the funding of a 2022 Project Award from the Irish Arts Council. Arts funding offers something that feels increasingly scarce in a corporatised world. Grateful for the trust given to artists and producers, and to supporting projects that can seed organically, collectively and slowly.

Sibyl Montague
SON OF HONEY-BAG

On view throughout Spring 2026 we’re thrilled to present SON OF HONEY-BAG, a new body of work in development by West Cork based artist Sibyl Montague.

Through sculpture, drawing and material manipulation, the artist engages with complex themes around inter-species relationships, agricultural products and by-products, and human connections to land and resources in the Irish landscape.

Sibyl’s work reaches from the deep innards of our contemporary capitalist world of consumption and gluttony, through the material clarity of substances like milk and animal hides, into ancient and native knowledge systems, that deprioritise the human-centric experience, making space for a deeper and more esoteric engagement with life.

SON OF HONEY-BAG is presented as an evolving exhibition at Kunstverein Aughrim (12
March - 20 May 2026). Visit during our opening hours Thursday-Sunday 11-3 and by appointment (email office@kunstverein.ie )

We are so excited for our next exhibition, Fashion Show: Clothing, Art and Activism.

This exhibition features Irish and International artists: Anna-Sophie Berger, Wang Bing, Alicia Framis, Gluklya, Sibyl Montague, Sinéad O'Dwyer, Lucy and Jorge Orta, Malick Sidibé, Tenant of Culture, Evelyn Taocheng Wang.

Fashion Show is an exhibition centred around clothing, material and advocacy. Here, we will be focusing on themes of self-representation and identity, as well as the economic and ecological effects of “fast fashion” and how clothing can become a means of activism and protest.

There will be a public conversation at 4pm with artists Gluklya and Sibyl Montague before the exhibition launch July 28th.

Curated by Chris Clarke and Fiona Kearney as part of the Creative Europe BEAM UP project. Beam up is a project in partnership with museums in Italy and Croatia, encouraging the participation of people who are visually impaired in the planning and experience of museum activities. The displays will include a range of tactile elements, navigation and audio resources available in the gallery and on our website.

Our exhibition programme is supported by Arts Council Ireland and private philanthropy through Cork University Foundation.
