Playing an improvisational set with my bud @cameroncstuart at Downtown Music Gallery, Tuesday Jan 6th. My first music set postpartum (almost 5 months!) and haven’t played out in over 2 years! I was not able to sing during pregnancy due to an insane and neverending cough so very happy to get back to using my voice! We play 630 Sharp! Playing alongside epic drummer Marc Edward’s with his group Slipstream Time Travel @marc_edwards_in_the_house @slipstreamtimetravel @downtownmusicgallery hosts FREE experimental music every Tuesday in a basement record shop in Chinatown. Check it out! Pic of my adorable little music lover and vocal experimenter Leon! Maybe his squeaks, squeals, and babbles with influence my vox! Unfortunately, it will be past his bedtime but hopefully one day soon he can see me play 😴 by @sick_din
Happy day 5 of life for my ❤️ say hello to baby Leon ♌️ ☯️ 💜 Follow @b_k_dk if you like cutie content by @sick_din
Recording the ❤️ of my little prenatal 🦁 and then vocalizing through pedals to create an amniotic texture. I have a few weeks to go until I meet my little cutie 🙏 by @sick_din
Very excited to have an article published in the Anthropology of Consciousness in the special issue "Dream Alliance: Art, Anthropology, & Consciousness" a special publication by editors and brainchildren Melinda Kiefer Santiago and Christopher Santiago of Dream Alliance. My article entitled “Dysfunction, neuroplasticity, and the brain: an artists personal experience” is my take on arts role in my own expansion of consciousness, a result of the bodies natural healing processes. 👓 I’m reaching into my left brain to write about the right brain. Can I become the new Oliver Sacks? Invite me to your conference. Congrats @melindamkiefer and @phantasmata_traumata on the issue! by @sick_din
Clips from last weeks set from Downtown Music Gallery. Vocal improv is Pretty & Ugly because it’s all an exploration of breath, tone, and intuition. Not really a song and always weird. I was sick with a migraine aura during this set but still pulled through for a shorter than planned improv (I have never cancelled a set when sick). Was feeling like a dizzy fingerless, dehydrated Alice in heatwaveland. Thanks to @marc_edwards_in_the_house for booking me to play and for the video! I enjoyed all the sets! @slipstreamtimetravel was epic! Been using my voice as an instrument for 15 years and it’s where my “pop” music came from. I’m self taught and started vocalizing experimentally by developing my own vocal warmups to warm up my voice. I plan to self record with this new set up, I’m really loving the distorted acoustic guitar but diy shows have deemed problematic with small spaces and feedback from all my pedals. (Advice on preventing this is welcome) by @sick_din

Vocal levels were low but the intention was there. FILL IN THE BLANKS with your mind. Come live to shows for the best sound. Distortion lovers will like the livestream recorded set cause guitar rules this set. (Feedback is my new friend and foe) Clips from my Green kill Sessions in May with Federico Balducci and William Middlemiss jr in Kingston Ny. Very cool space with shows and a livestream channel. @fedvii Playing electronic set this Monday at Wonderville in Brooklyn. 7/17 #diymusician #avant #kingston #greenkill #sickdin by @sick_din
