Tonight was a moment our family will never forget.⁣
⁣
My son Abid was pitching while fasting for Ramadan, and at sunset his coach paused the game and walked out to the mound so he could break his fast.⁣
⁣
Abid didn’t expect this to happen and we certainly didn’t either. But that one simple act of kindness meant more to us than words can express. ⁣
⁣
Thank you Coach Dan & his amazing wife Kelly for going above and beyond to make all players feel seen, respected, and included no matter what faith or background. ⁣
⁣
Moments like this remind us that while we may come from different faiths and backgrounds, it’s community that brings us together. And we all know that we are stronger together🌙⚾❤️⁣
⁣
Different faiths, one team, one community

Cherie’s beloved father is Hal Greer who was a legendary Hall of Fame professional basketball player widely recognized as one of the premier mid-range shooting guards in NBA history. Greer spent his entire 15-year career with a single franchise, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Winston and Cherie have two beautiful kids, Greer 15u & Cannon 12u. Greer Brown is already showing up on D1 prospect lists for volleyball. Cannon Brown is truly elite across multiple sports and will be able to pick his passion between baseball, basketball and football.

Winston and Cherie bring a calm, cool vibe to every sideline and their kids are a pleasure to coach. It’s a privilege to call the Brown family our friends and we can’t wait to see what the next generation achieves. by @sidelineliving
