“I give so much of myself to others that eventually, I no longer know who I am.”
Have you ever caught yourself gradually “shrinking” in a relationship? Subtly adapting to the other person’s moods, schedule, emotions, or expectations, until one day you realize your own desires, needs, and boundaries have simply dissolved.
This is the fear of losing yourself in relationships. And it lives in your nervous system.
When we learn (in childhood or through past experiences) that being “easy” or pleasing is the only way to maintain connection and love, our body remembers this rule.
How does this fear manifest in the body?
1. Holding your breath or breathing shallowly whenever your partner’s mood shifts.
2. A heaviness in your chest or a “knot” in your stomach when you want to say “no,” but your lips mechanically say “yes.”
3. Chronic fatigue from constant hypervigilance: your nervous system endlessly scanning the room: “Is everything okay? Am I safe?”
4. Tension in your shoulders and neck from suppressing anger or the impulse to protect your personal space.
You can read dozens of books about boundaries and intellectually understand what a healthy relationship looks like. But when conflict or the fear of rejection arises, a defensive response triggers in your body: people-pleasing because to your body, it feels like the only known way to stay safe.

In somatic therapy, we work with how your nervous system responds to connection.
In our sessions, we:
✨ Learn to recognize the physical signals that show up when you start ignoring or abandoning your own needs.
✨ Build internal safety, allowing you to stay present with the anxiety that naturally arises when setting boundaries.
✨ Experience a new way of being: holding a deep connection with another person without withdrawing or losing yourself.
Sometimes, peace and clarity in relationships begin with a safe connection to your own body.
🌿 I invite you to individual somatic therapy sessions. Starting in October, I have a few openings available for online sessions.
If you feel it’s time to return to yourself, feel free to send me a direct message or sign up via the link in my bio.

MY STORY

I have been curious about human condition since a very young age. I always felt that there was something more than just thoughts and words - pain & suffering often live in human body.
In 2017 I started studying somatic therapy in The Institute for Integrative Bodywork & Movement Therapy in London & had closer look into my own inner body wisdom.
3 years & 500 hours in a closed group learning, practising, healing. Intense and deep experience. Not for everyone. Some people left after a year. It is a deep inner work that requires a set of skills & patience. Through Authentic Movement Discipline I felt an even stronger inner impulse to dive into body & its awareness.
This practice helps me to be present with my own feelings and hold a safe space for my clients. I facilitate individual sessions for adults in Lithuanian,
English and Spanish online worldwide or on-site in Switzerland.

My topics of interest are:

♾️Love
♾️Relationships
♾️Childhood traumas
♾️Psychosomatics
♾️Anxiety
♾️Emigration
♾️Self-esteem

MY WHY
I see healing as a way to a better & happier life.
Living with less emotional & physical pain is lighter.
Many people created safe spaces for me to share my pain, my doubts, my worries, learn from best somatic therapy teachers - now it is my turn to create safe space for people to share theirs. It takes time but it is so worth it.
The freedom to be your true self. 🩵

Let's meet. 🪐
With love,
Deima

Three weeks.
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”
J. Muir
For the past three weeks, I’ve been away from the quiet presence of the mountains, navigating the fast-paced pulse of big city life.
As a somatic therapist, I spend my days helping others track their bodily sensations, notice states of arousal, and cultivate regulation. But living in the body it’s an ongoing, daily practice. And these past few weeks were a vivid reminder of just how deeply our physical environment shapes our inner physiology.
In the mountains, my nervous system rests into a naturally slower rhythm. The wide horizons give the eyes space to soften, the stillness invites deeper breathing, and the cadence of life feels anchored in something ancient and unhurried.
In the city, the sensory input is continuous: flashing lights, constant ambient noise, fast-moving crowds, and a baseline urgency that subtly keeps the body on alert. I felt my shoulders drawing up, my breath shortening, and my system working overtime just to filter the noise and stay centered.
It was a gentle reminder that overstimulation isn’t a personal failure, it’s a biological response. Our bodies were built to register the pace around us, and when that pace shifts rapidly, our nervous systems respond.
Returning home to the mountains, I felt an immediate exhale. The moment my feet touched familiar soil and my eyes took in the high ridge lines, my system began to settle back into its natural baseline.
If you’ve been feeling overstimulated, hurried, or disconnected from your center lately:
1. Check in with your environment: Is the world around you asking your body to move faster than feels natural?
2. Seek micro-moments of spaciousness: Even in the middle of a concrete jungle, look up at the sky, feel your feet planted on the earth, or take three unhurried exhales.
3. Honor your pace: You don’t have to match the velocity of a fast-moving environment.

Oh how good it is to be back to a slower cadence. 🌲✨

Lėtinis nuovargis nuo nuolatinio vidinio budrumo: nervų sistema be perstojo skenuoja aplinką: „Ar viskas gerai?

JURGA BLISS @jurga_bliss
Pirmadieniais 12:00 arba 14:00

To breathe
To feel
To come alive

#somatictherapy #somatichealing #nervoussystemregulation #resttherapy #somaticpsychology by @silentspots

Life bends, but it does not break.♥️
This is the ultimate truth of your resilient design. When pressure mounts and the storms of life hit hard, your nervous system is built to bend.
Bending means allowing yourself to feel the weight of exhaustion, grief, or stress without shattering under it. It’s the capacity to stretch, adapt, and ride the waves of intense experience, trusting that your core remains whole. Like a young tree in a fierce alpine wind, your ability to be flexible is exactly what keeps you standing.
Even on the days you feel bent entirely out of shape, remember: you are simply adapting. Your system knows exactly how to find its way back to center.

Let’s be honest: therapists are humans, too. 🤎
Behind the professional credentials and the safe space of the therapy room is a living, breathing person.

Too often, people hesitate to start therapy because they think they’re walking into a room with a perfect, unflappable expert who has life entirely figured out.
But the truth? The old-school image of the cold, silent therapist with a clipboard is outdated. Real healing happens through genuine, human connection.
To peel back the curtain, here are 5 common myths about therapists that simply aren't true:

1. "Therapists have perfectly figured out lives."
We are humans navigating the exact same complex world you are. We experience grief, relationship challenges, stress, and self-doubt. Our training doesn’t exempt us from the human experience; it just gives us tools to navigate it, which we are constantly practicing, too.
2. "A therapist’s job is to give you advice and tell you what to do."
If a therapist tells you exactly how to live your life, they are taking away your autonomy. The real goal is to help you connect with your own inner wisdom, somatic cues, and values so you can confidently make your own choices.
3. "Therapists never make mistakes or get triggered."
We can misspeak, misread a moment, or feel our own nervous systems react. A great therapist isn't someone who never messes up; it’s someone who has the humility and somatic awareness to notice it, own it, and repair the connection with the client.
4. "Therapists think their clients are 'broken' or need fixing."
We don't see you as a broken machine or a problem to solve. Especially in somatic and trauma-informed work, we see your current patterns or relationship protective walls as brilliant survival strategies that your body created to keep you safe. You aren't broken; you are adapting.
5. "Therapists only focus on your childhood and the past."
While understanding your history is valuable because it shapes your current nervous system responses, somatic work is deeply rooted in the present moment. We look at how those past experiences are living in your body and affecting your relationships today.

Deimante, RSMT/E

Notes on June so far.
The shift into mid-June always brings a specific kind of energy. The valley is vibrant green, the mountain air is warm, and there’s a natural invitation from the world around us to expand, open up, and step outside.
But as the external world speeds up, my focus both personally and inside the therapy space has been all about slowness & the art of slowing down.

Here are 5 things I’m holding close from the last few weeks:
1. Putting the armor down
In my sessions recently, a major theme has been relational fatigue. So many of us carry an invisible armor in our relationships: holding our breath, anticipating conflict, or hiding our truest feelings just to keep the peace. June has been a reminder that true intimacy grows when our nervous systems finally feel safe enough to drop the guard.
2. Healing thrives in connection
We are deeply wired to heal alongside others. This month has beautifully reinforced the core of my work: we flourish in shared spaces. Watching a client move from a state of guarded isolation into a felt, embodied sense of "I am safe to be seen by another human" is the most profound part of my week.
3. The body has its own calendar
There is a lot of collective pressure to "rush, achieve, and do." But our nervous systems don't care about calendar deadlines. Sometimes, the most productive thing you can do for your body this month is to honor its need for a pause.
4. Boundaries are an act of connection
Many clients come to me fearing that setting a boundary will break their relationship. But this month, we've been practicing how boundaries actually preserve closeness. When you use your body to sense your true "yes" and "no," you stop building hidden resentment and start building real, authentic trust.
5. Finding the "silent spots"
Between holding space for others and navigating the beautiful, steep terrain of daily life, I’ve had to ruthlessly prioritize my own quiet. For me this June, that looks like intentional pauses, less screen time, and letting my own nervous system simply rest and ground in nature.

A gentle check-in for Sunday: Where are you holding unnecessary tension today?
