Anna ♥️ Last Monday at @boreland_lochtay, I had the pleasure of getting Anna, her four bridesmaids and her Mum ready for the most beautiful wedding day, with this incredible view of Loch Tay ✨ From the sunrise drive to Loch Tay, setting up for the morning and those first few moments before makeup, to the finished looks and finally seeing Anna in her dress - I loved being part of it all. Anna had given her bridesmaids a colour palette and then let them have free rein to choose their own dresses, which I absolutely loved. 🤍 The result was such a beautiful mix of colours, textures and personalities that felt completely them. And of course, Anna herself… the most gorgeous, individual bridal style, finished with that statement red lip ❤️ Such a lovely morning with the girls and Anna’s Mum, and such a beautiful setting to work in. On Monday I married my soul mate, didn’t think I could love him any harder but wow was I wrong. Holy gods thank you for the most beautiful day of my life. It was imperfectly perfect from start to finish. This was the best party I have ever been to and cannot be topped. Hey there friends, It is once again time for me to clock another year onto my tally. What an eventful year it has been spinning, joyfully, around the sun! This year has been very busy and taught me a tremendous amount! Planning a wedding has reminded how blessed I am to have such amazing my friends and family. Becoming chief gardener has taught me not to attach so much importance to the outcome (thanks to my finance for helping me realise not all flowers will grow as expected and that’s ok) and then successfully putting down a herringbone floor (without breaking up) helped me practice patience and that finished is better than perfect! With Silver Circle I am so greatful that I found the most amazing mentor to learn from about the body. I got deep, deep very into the world of biomechanics and gathered some very exciting information about how to help people move better and resolve chronic pain. Then I moved into a lovely new room so I have space to do just that! Biomechanic assessments coming soon!! So, to celebrate this year of being blessed and bossing life, the eventual arrival of summer and my upcoming nuptials I am once again putting on the best massage deal you will find this side of the Clyde. So often people ask me — “What is this? It’s not like other massages I have had.” Finally I decided to try and figure out what exactly makes it different *read: better* 😉 Slow — most of us live in a permo heightened state of arousal these days, whether we are consciously aware of it or not. Holding it all together and holding it all in our bodies. The slowness really helps your nervous system switch into a ‘rest and digest’ (parasympathetic) state. This is so helpful because it makes your body feel safe enough to stop holding onto tension, that it thinks it needs, to fight or flee. You understand on a deep level that you have no where to be at that moment and you can fully allow yourself to let go. 🫠 Deep — because we are taking our time this allows the tissue to yield in a gentle (I’m not saying always pain free) way. Your body is like a labyrinth that I am guided through by your tissue, I ask it a question with my hands and it answers by guiding me deeper towards to core. We can go deep because we do it in a way that respects your bodies readiness. And maybe we don’t go deep because that’s not what you need. 🫢 Release — ultimately we are allowing your body the time and space it needs to unstick, to unravel and to heal. We are hanging out, in a dance, me and your muscles, until they decide to release, in a way that suits them. Maybe they want this angle, maybe they want less pressure over here, maybe they want this squeezed and that melted. Whatever it is, we will allow them to release their tension on their terms. 😍 So I hope this helps answer the question. What is this? — It’s Slow Deep Release ™ for your body and mind.
