Hanoi Mega Grand World, a big surprise for us, a huge area beautifully built, decorated and maintained but virtually empty.
From the look of it, they are trying to attract visitors but not very successfully.
To get the full experience,we arrived about one hour before the sunset and after the dark set in, we enjoyed the colorful lights.
To get here we took the bus OCT2 from downtown Hanoi right beside Opera House, again very modern bus with AC and not crowded and in about an hour we got to the Mega Grand World area.
The bus ride is FREE and runs every 15 minutes so more good reasons to check this place out. by @silvertreks

Titop Island in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam.
A very tiny island but so beautiful. We climbed the 400 steps to the top of the island being rewarded with beautiful panoramic views.
Titop Island was just a stop during our full day in Ha Long Bay, more to come in the future.

Today we visited Air Force Museum in Hanoi, Vietnam.
It is a very interesting place to explore. There are a lot of original items displayed, each with the stories behind them, English included.
Probably not very famous among tourists but we really enjoyed the time spent here.
The museum is a little outside the main touristic area, to get here we took the bus #24 (very modern and almost empty) for a fare of 11,000 VND ( about 0.40 €/$ Cents), the museum entry fee is 30,000 VND.

Full day trip outside Hanoi, many great activities throughout the day, here is the climbing of the Dragon Mountain 🐉 in Ninh Binh.
500 steps carved in stone, take you to the top with amazing 360 degrees views of surrounding area.
The weather forecast was terrible, announcing rain and thunderstorms but the dragon spirit was on our side and we actually had a beautiful, dry and sunny day 🌞

Eiffel Tower, doesn't need any description 😊

While waiting for our upcoming trip, and with Paris being such a hot topic nowadays, we found these pictures of the city as you can't see it anymore, at least not for a few good years.
The pictures were taken during our last trip from the 59th-floor rooftop terrace of the Montparnasse Tower, which is now closed for renovations with no clear reopening date.
Considered one of the ugliest buildings in the world, it actually offers the best views of Paris.
Locals agree about the views and joke about it because once you're at the top, you can't see the building itself! 🤭
We were lucky to visit when it was still open to the public and the views are truly amazing.

Counting down to our next adventure by looking back at our time in Paris a few weeks ago.

Paris travel tip: Don’t skip the Petit Palais! 🏛️

This museum is an absolute must-visit, it’s completely free to explore the permanent collections, and the Beaux-Arts architecture is stunning.
Definitely add this to your Paris bucket list! 🇫🇷✨

Carnavalet Museum Paris, another hidden gem you should not miss when visiting the city.
It is also known as City of Paris History Museum and it has a lot of interesting permanent collections related to city's history, from prehistory up to present days.
And surprisingly for such a rich and ample display of history and arts, access is free of charge.

Parfum Museum, official name "Le Musée du Parfum Fragonard", is another hidden gem in Paris. The museum is dedicated to the history and art of perfumes with many interesting displays.
It is not very big, can be easily explored in about 10-15 minutes unless you are very interested in the subject and want to read all the displays information.
What makes it even better is the free entrance so another reason not to miss it while in Paris.
At the exit area they have a nice shop with good prices, offering a lot of flagrances for every...nose 😊

Day trip to Chantilly Castle, about half an hour by train from Paris Gare du Nord.
One way ticket per person was 9.80 Euro.
From the train station in Chantilly, there is a 2.5 km walk to the castle through a beautiful natural area. There are other options to get there but we love walking, especially on a pleasant sunny day.
The entry fee to the castle varies on what you want to see, the most common ticket is 21 Euro/adult but we chose the option for 24 Euro to have also included the library.
We had time to properly explore the castle with all its galleries, the stables and the huge gardens, all in all about five hours to cover everything.
Highlights for us were the paintings by Raphael, Botticelli, Titian, Poussin and many more. by @silvertreks
