{{Daylin}} ROCORI •2027• Senior ❤️ 🖤 🤍

#seniorportraitphotographer #rocorisenior #centralminnesotaphotographer by @simplefolkmedia

Nearly a decade of photographing this family, and somehow each season becomes more full and beautiful than the last.
I’ve watched their family grow, their children newlyweds, their children become parents, and a new generation of little ones find their place in the middle of it all. There is something so beautiful about seeing that kind of love carried forward — grandparents surrounded by the love of their children and grandchildren, and all the little relationships that exist within one family.
These are the photographs that remind me why I’ve always loved documenting families. It is such an honor to keep telling their story. 🤎

Your life doesn’t need to look Pinterest perfect to be worth photographing.
The kitchen table. The house you’re raising them in. The baby tucked against your chest. Dad making her laugh over dinner. Bare feet, messy hair, the front steps, and little girls playing with leaves in the backyard.
But this house holds even more than the everyday moments happening inside it now.
It was her great-grandparents’ home. She has memories of being a child here herself, and now she gets to watch her own babies grow up inside the same walls.
They’re eating around the same kitchen table, playing in the same yard, sitting on the same front steps. Ordinary childhood moments are happening here all over again, just another generation further down the family tree.
These are the things that feel ordinary while you’re living them.
And somehow, they’re the things you’ll ache to remember.
Someday, these photographs won’t just show her children what their childhood looked like. They’ll show them where part of their family story happened long before they were even born.
That’s why home matters. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s theirs. And in this case, it has been theirs for generations.

{{Bella}} ROCORI 2027 Graduate! by @simplefolkmedia

This ROCORI senior was so much fun to photograph! Super chatty, full of personality, and we lucked out with an evening full of beautiful fall colors and a warm breeze.

Excited to see where life takes this guy after graduation!

A few favorites from this senior session. The black shirt, concrete walls, and shadows and soft light made for some of my favorite shots of the morning.

A little morning sun and shadows, a little black and white. Keeping senior portraits simple.

Photographing your family as they are RIGHT NOW.

Silly. Wiggly. Grumpy. Curious. Independent. A little chaotic. Completely themselves.

The little hands reaching for another apple. The wild hair. The expressions. The moments when nobody is looking at the camera because they’re too busy being kids.

I don’t need your children to sit still, smile on command, or be on their best behavior. I want to photograph who they are in this season of life.

Because someday, the things that feel so ordinary right now will be the very things you wish you could experience all over again.

Come as you are. Let your kids be kids. I’ll document the rest. 🤎
