▶️ WHAT RUNNING TAUGHT ME ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH 🥇🏃‍♂️

The mind, body and spirit aren't separate systems.
When one deteriorates, eventually the others feel it. Running helped me begin rebuilding them together. My mind learned that discomfort isn't always danger. My body became capable of carrying me toward the life I wanted. And discipline gave me the feeling that I was participating in my own life again instead of simply enduring it. Running didn't magically solve everything. It gave me somewhere constructive to put emotional energy. Sometimes I process things while running. Sometimes I think deeply. Sometimes I don't think about anything at all. But I keep moving.

The next chapter should challenge your abilities, not constantly challenge your dignity. #socialimpact #mentalhealth #nonprofit by @sinch_lives

Maybe Asians are just good at hiding our health problems. Are we measuring wellness? Or are we also measuring our willingness to tell someone that we're not well?

The question isn't purely anecdotal. One national study found that while 18% of the general U.S. population sought mental health services, only 8.6% of Asian Americans did.

So when we're interpreting mental health data, help-seeking behavior, stigma and cultural attitudes toward disclosure have to be part of the conversation too.

🏃‍♂️Sydney Marathon 2026 has been incredible! It was definitely the hardest run in my book. It’s done and time to move onto the next goal. 🥇 #sydneymarathon2026 #worldmajormarathon @wmmajors @sydney_marathon by @sinch_lives

🏃Los Angeles Marathon 2026 in the books! This was my second marathon and boy was it difficult!!!! Losing an hour of sleep due to daylight savings and 80+ weather was brutal. But one simply cannot make excuses for things that one does not have power over. I gave it my best and that best was more than enough. Heck yeah! I am proud of myself and looking forward to Sydney Marathon in August!!! Boom!!!💥💢💯 @lamarathon by @sinch_lives

Running has helped me overcome my own mental health challenges. Highly recommend running for anyone wanting to change their mind and body thru spiritual discipline of running meditation.

It's hard to accept me for who I am and love the inner self. Just a friendly note to myself that I am perfect the way that I am. by @sinch_lives

Nothing lasts forever. Change is inevitable. Only thing constant in life is change. We desperately long to hold onto the moment of bliss, joy and love and hope that it lasts just the way it is. The fact is that the moment is fleeting. We can only hold onto the memories and feelings. However, the truth is that every moment how different it may seem, it still holds same bliss, joy and love. #thoughts #philosophy #fleeting #moment by @sinch_lives

(My Own Depression Story) I lived in pergatory between heaven and hell for many years. Death seemed ideal and living was a torture of all different kinds filled with boredom, loneliness, anger, sadness, happiness and frustration.

No one believed that I was depressed and kept gas lighting me to believe that I was just being an entitled & privileged person. Little did they know that I struggled with it all of my life starting with suicide attempt at the age of 14.

I wanted this world to end. This world filled with evil beyond understanding. My favorite celebrity suicide news (Chester from Linkin Park and Anthony B.) re-affirmed my thoughts. I wanted this world to blow up and burn to the ground. Waking up with sadness daily yet not finding any hope & joy in life was miserable. Dealing with people's greed, stupidity and lack of love for all things in life made me even more depressed. Being surrounded by narcissistic people didnt help either.

Then the pandemic came and reset the world as I wanted it to be. People disappeared. Cars stopped running. Work slowed down. Everyone took a step back and the energy of earth was stabilizing. I felt myself healing as the world became more quiet.

It has been a long journey without any clinical or professional help to finally finding my little ray of sunshine and a will to live in joy and peace. It was a hard journey of self-healing and accepting my own godliness and embracing the spiritual war that waged over me.

I am grateful for those who were there for me and had compassion & sense to embrace my depression. You are all my heroes. You know who you are. You are my angels who protected, guided and served faithfully. by @sinch_lives
