POSTS STORIES REELS
I. Am. Speechless!đŸ€Ż Ash Hearts is nominated for the Bookseller’s Prize! My seventh book and seventh nomination, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, it’s just too wild! The spot among the booksellers’ ten favourites is a tremendous gift, and a trust I know I have to earn every time. I write to empower people and I’m incredibly happy and grateful to have the booksellers on my team. Dear booksellers: I love you! You’re completely nuts but I love you! Thank you! Congratulations to all my nominated colleagues. I’m especially happy to see my brilliant friend @orjan_nk on the list, truly well deserved! Congratulations, Ørjan!🙌😍 And of course: Thank you to my remarkable team of superheroes at @bonniernorskforlag and @fantastiskforlag, and to my exceptional editor @tone.almhjell ❀ by @siripettersen
đŸ€Ż Iron Wolf is on @kirkus_reviews list of the «Best Books of the 21st Century (so far)». They told me last night and I checked the YA category. It was true. I checked again. Still there. I asked them if this was actually real. They said yes. I counted hours from the time difference to see if they published on April 1st. They didn’t. So by all accounts, Iron Wolf is actually really listed by Kirkus Reviews as one of the best books of the 21st century, so far. I’m having genuine trouble wrapping my head around this. It feels like I crashed a party and find myself in the company of giants like The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. Deeply honored and grateful for this milestone. Thank you to Kirkus, @grandagency.se, @arctisbooksusa, and to translator Tara Chace who has clearly worked her best magic here. And most of all, thank you to all of you who are always there, helping these books grow, you are the best đŸ™â€ïž by @siripettersen

đŸ”„đŸ° «How was the cake?!» That’s the only question from the people who missed the Ash Hearts release party. Understandably, because the pressure was insane! There was every reason to think that remaking the Ash Hearts cover as a cake was practically impossible. Especially for 200 hungry wolves! But @ivarbakes and @solungmat_thecakemakers embraced the task of satisfying the supernatural expectations of fantasy lovers, and the verdict is in! As the flood of pics could testify: This was next level baking. This was magic! (You HAVE to see the creation reel!) The gastronomical masterpiece, created by around 10 bakers, was 1 meter wide and 30 kg, born from 20 kg of sugar and 10 kg butter. A doctor’s nightmare became the star of the release party. The core was chocolate cake with a white fondant cover, spray painted like lava. The shell was black marzipan, hand painted with blood vessels. Bits of coal seemed to explode from the heart, also edible black marzipan. And the most insane part: The cake seemed to glow in the dark! (I’m not gonna ask, I just assume I’m radioactive now.) Plunging the knife in this piece of art was painful, but it had to be done! Fortunately, the cake is now more famous than The Beatles and will live forever in pics and reels. Was it any good? It was absolutely delicious! My deepest thank you to master baker Ivar Bakke and the team at Solungmat & The Cakemakers for exceeding my wildest expectations, and they’re pretty wild, to be fair! P.S! DON’T miss the next release party! 😁 #fantasy #cake #baking #cakesofinstagram by @siripettersen

«You need to purge your brain,» said Ton
ehm, let’s call her Totty, and gave me King Arthur in a thousand pieces, with strict orders to complete the whole puzzle before plotting my next book. Totty is anonymized for her own safety 😬 Thank you for all the wonderful wishes for my birthday and the nomination yesterday!❀ by @siripettersen
En takknemlig Siri Pettersen, nominert til Bokhandlerprisen for syvende gang!😍🙏 by @siripettersen
🙌The release party for Ash Hearts was so packed and ecstatic that we’re probably a registered religion by now. The speeches could have made the devil blush, @voluspa_band made the whole hall sing, the cake from @ivarbakes is now more famous than The Beatles, and nobody told me how hot velvet gets
My deepest gratitude to every single person there, especially those who flew in (from Kirkenes and TromsĂž ffs!) Thank you @credorestaurantoslo for outstanding food, thanks to my remarkable team at @bonniernorskforlag, project manager @parisavaz, editors @tonjetornes and @tone.almhjell, @vibekekoehler, Juva/ @cha_c_san, @grandagency.se, The National Library, and everyone who shared their posts and stories. I can’t thank you enough, you are all effing awesome! đŸ™Œâ€ïž (Photo: @timsterlusa / @ltd_reads_plans ) by @siripettersen
