Thankful 🙏🏽 by @sirkakojohnson

Still taking it all in. What an evening! 🖤

On 15 October 2026, we brought together an incredible community of governance professionals, leaders, partners and supporters for the Black Excellence in Governance Awards (BEGA) 2026.

BEGA has always been about more than awards. It is about recognising excellence, creating access, investing in talent and helping shape a governance profession where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, partners, advisory committee, judges, speakers, volunteers, nominees, award winners, bursary winners and the entire team who gave so much of themselves to make it possible. And to everyone who joined us, thank you for believing in what BEGA stands for.

There is so much more we want to achieve, and we are only getting started!

Celebrating Excellence. Advancing Inclusive Governance.
See you at BEGA 2027 🙌🏽

The faces. The emotions. The energy. 🖤✨

A little throwback to BEGA 2025… and I genuinely can’t believe BEGA 2026 is only ONE WEEK away! 😭🔥

One year of planning, building and believing.

Huge thank you to Dami, Juliet, Neo, Renee and the 30+ volunteers and advisors who made this possible. 🙌🏾 #BEGA

Next week, we do it again. 🏆✨

Grateful to be alive. 🙏🏾

Three weeks ago, few hours after landing in Abuja, Nigeria, I was involved in a serious car accident on my way home. The car somersaulted three times — but by God’s grace, I walked away with my life, miraculously. My silence over the past few weeks wasn’t without reason… I’ve been resting, recovering, and reflecting. This video was taken just three minutes after I opened the passenger door with my hands, and walked, with my own feet, out of this wreck. The driver and I were fine and were able to walk away just seconds after the crash.

The devil tried it — but clearly, there’s still so much more God has for me to do.

Thank you to everyone who’s prayed for me, checked in or held me in their thoughts. I’m okay now, slowly getting back into the swing of things, and more thankful than ever for life, purpose, and second chances. ❤️

I won’t mind a holiday every week 😌 by @sirkakojohnson

I have missed my days of organizing and putting together these conferences for young professionals and when I got this invitation to be the Closing Ceremony, Guest Speaker at the recently concluded MUN conference in Turkey. I was thrilled.

Many thanks to Mr Fawad Ali Langah, Daniel Ayodele and their team for inviting me to share some thoughts on leadership, my experience and on diplomatic issues around the world as the conference explored the theme ‘Crafting Future Leaders in a Post Pandemic Era’. by @sirkakojohnson

Thanks to all the incredible friends we made at @hadiqaistanbul!

The beautiful thing about self development is preparedness.
Invariably, we prepare ourselves for life junctions - I say that because I am not a big believer that ‘opportunity’ comes by chance.
A lucrative ‘opportunity’ for an auditor means nothing to young lawyer because his path of development hasn’t lead him to that junction. No matter how little, no skill being developed is useless.
What new skill are you excited to learn?
