POSTS STORIES REELS

From our Founder’s Desk

Sash Innovations and Studio Akpan started as two different practices, with two different strengths. SISA came from bringing those strengths together, architecture, interiors and construction under one roof.

In this Founder’s Interview, we talk about what prompted the collaboration, how the name SISA came about and what building the company has taught us so far.

On World Architecture Day, it felt like a good day to look back at where SISA started and why bringing architecture and interiors together was important to us.

Here’s a little bit of that story.

Before a space comes together, there’s a lot to look through, discuss and get right.

Because a well-designed space starts with getting the details right, long before the actual build.

Reviewing floor plans, 3D visualisations to going over design details, every element needs to make sense alongside the next, these conversations help us connect the drawings to the bigger picture and make sure we’re all working towards the same vision.

October Through Our Lens

From residential renovations to multi-building developments to industry events October gave us plenty to think through, build on and bring closer to completion.

Different projects, different challenges but the same focus: making considered decisions and carrying them through properly.

A creative workspace should do more than look good; it should reflect the work that happens within it.

Inspired by New York lofts and contemporary art, this design brings together industrial finishes, vibrant colours and rich textures to create a workspace that feels functional, expressive and full of character.

With 3D designs and renders, we help our clients visualise how their spaces could look before we bring the designs to life.

Starting a business is one thing. Building it, learning as you go, and figuring things out along the way is another.

In this episode of our Founders’ Interview, we asked our founders what advice they would give to anyone looking to start and run a business. From the lessons experience has taught them to the things they wish they knew earlier, they share a few thoughts worth hearing before taking that leap.

Because sometimes, the best lessons don’t come from a textbook. They come from doing the work, making decisions, learning from mistakes, and showing up even when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Here’s a little wisdom from our founders.

One thing we love is seeing people grow, not just in their work but in the way they think, create and approach what they do.

We asked some of our team members what they’ve learned since joining SISA, and their answers reminded us that growth happens in more ways than one. We’re proud of the people we’re building with and the impact we’re making together.

A LITTLE BEHIND THE SCENES AT SISA

A little posing, a few takes, plenty of laughs and the occasional “wait” let’s do this one more time!

A big thank you to @savahomes for the great space and @asamaiige behind the lens and calling the shots.

Because even when we’re not on-site bringing spaces to life, we still know how to show up for the camera.

Every finished space has a lot happening behind the scenes.

Our Monday meetings at SISA give the team a chance to review ongoing projects, discuss important decisions, work through challenges, and align on priorities for the week ahead.

With architecture, interior design, and construction all working together, clear communication and coordination are essential to keeping every part of a project moving in the right direction.

It’s how we turn individual efforts into a well-coordinated process and create a better experience for our clients from start to finish.

Consultation days are one of our best

We’re out and about meeting with clients, understanding their needs and inspecting spaces for projects we’ll be taking on.

From seeing the space firsthand to discussing ideas, possibilities and what needs to be done, these visits help us understand the project beyond just what’s on paper.

Every project starts with a conversation, a closer look and a clear understanding of the vision. And we’re here for all of it.

A neat building starts with the things you don’t see.

Before this beam is cast, there’s already a lot of coordination happening behind the scenes.

Our structural and M&E engineers work together to mark out where service routes will pass, allowing 100mm PVC pipes to be installed through the beams for electrical, HVAC and fire protection services.

Everything is done with the structural engineer’s approval and proper coordination, so these services have a clear and efficient path through the building.

Because the goal isn’t just to build strong. It’s to build smart, coordinated and with the future of the space in mind.

Happy Customer Service Week!

Good design is one thing, but the experience of getting there matters too.

From the first conversation to the site visits, decisions, questions and everything in between, good communication and good service are a big part of how we work.

To our clients who trust us with their projects, and to the team behind the scenes who keeps things moving, thank you.

Happy Customer Service Week from all of us at SISA.
