“A woman who PREPARES is like the 5 wise virgins. Oil in her lamp. Ready when the moment comes.

Nearly 45% of Black women will experience stalking, physical violence, or sexual assault in their lifetime — that’s almost half of us. 😢

At Sister Souljas, we don’t wait to be rescued. We rise. We learn how to protect ourselves, build confidence, and fight back with faith + fire.

This past Saturday, I trained with another group of powerful sisters. 💜 The energy was unmatched — Black girl magic filled the room as we shared our stories about why we came. Many of our stories were the same: we refuse to be caught unprepared in a world like this. ❣️

The sisters who joined our last Crowned by Fire event walked out stronger, safer, and more prepared than when they walked in.

🔥 Will you be one of them next time?

For women who want to feel more comfortable with 🔫 without the anxiety of live 🔥.

This training has helped me soooo much, that’s why I’m so happy I could offer it to the ladies at my self defense workshop ❣️

So grateful to @asalasiii and @vernchallender for agreeing to come out and help give these ladies the same confidence they’ve given me when it comes to firearms training!!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿

Black women and girls receive less than 10% of national media coverage when they go missing.

This isn’t just a media problem either. A 2019 legal research paper found police are statistically more likely to label missing Black kids as runaways instead of victims right away, which delays real search efforts. Without early attention, those cases go unsolved four times more often.

This isn’t a coincidence. It’s a pattern, built into the system.

Crowned by Fire exists to do our part to be the change.

Shenanigans at the end lol 😂 Just a peek into what I do on the regular 💕 I love to make training fun. It’s already intimidating to do this type of thing especially if you’ve never done it before.

Here I was answering a question from a student about how we would apply a technique that we were training. I was happy to answer the question for her. It’s important to know WHY you’re doing a ‘’move” if you ever hope to apply it in a dangerous situation.

That’s how I think about it anyway 🤷🏾‍♀️

This clip is just me doing homework in bed on a random Tuesday. But it took me back to this January, when I had only been in my Psychology program for 10 days and ended up in the hospital with a bleeding emergency. Blood transfusions and all that.

And I still had my laptop out doing schoolwork.📚

That’s not me refusing to slow down.

When you get a second chance at life, it does something to you. It gives you a tenacity that wasn’t there before.

I still rest. I listen to my body now more than ever, because of everything I went through. But when it’s time to work toward my purpose, nothing stops that.

Ever since all this happened, I’ve been looking for my people. The ones who get it without me having to explain it. 💯

The ones just trying to make it through today without falling apart but who also have a serious thirst to walk in their purpose by any means necessary. If that’s you. I see you.

Tell me in the comments, are you just making it through today, hungry for more, or both at once?

🙋🏾‍♀️Both at once
