“Go from the gun, yeah?”
@shortcycles getting those legendary photos at my first P123 podium. Drone and all. Died 1000 deaths in the two big breaks of the day. Came up short of the top step but @k1mberlystoveld was ready with the big hugs. Thanks to @qcwcycling for putting on a fun and safe event at rodale. 🫶
Sometimes when you need some motivation it’s good to just kick yourself into another gear. Speedweek is up next and I can’t wait to see the ponies from my @mustangs.cycling squad. taken in Trexlertown, Pennsylvania by @shotreshot

I started and deleted this post so many times over the past 12 days. Our home still feels so quiet and empty without Spiller. Missing him is like be home and still being homesick.🐾

Twelve and a half years ago, John and I adopted Spiller. From the day we brought him home, there was never an adventure that didn’t include him, never a plan made without him, and never a day he was not completely loved and spoiled.

We lost him on December 17th. He passed away peacefully, with John, in our home, in his favorite bed, surrounded by so much love.

We are so very grateful for every single person who stopped what they were doing to give Spiller love and attention. He loved the pets, snuggles and back scratches.
Thank you for inviting him along with us to parties, races, and trips. He was always so happy to be included and to go along too.
We are so especially appreciative of every picture taken of Spiller and shared with us. They are so very valuable to us right now.

❤️What a privilege it was to have Spiller in our family. He was the best good boy and one of the greatest loves of our lives. by @shotreshot

Goals are important.

Something aspirational that isn’t easily attained. A concrete one that you know when you get there you’ll be proud of that achievement. When I started this whole racing thing I had no idea what I was doing. I crashed out of races, dropped from group rides and went to bike shops to fix what I broke on my bike trying to fix said bike.

Somehow about this time I got it in my head, I wanted to look at a category 1 upgrade as my big goal. (USA cycling ranks you 5 to 1 with 5 novice and 1 elite)

Each season I got stronger. Learned to lean my bike more. Get comfortable in the pack and even work on my own bike. (Sometimes). @mechanicbicycleproshop .

I slowly churned out points and upgrades and even a few podiums and big wins and chipped away at the mountain. Until this off season I got that email from Trish Black every cyclist won’t tell you they’re hoping to get. “Your upgrade to category 1 has been approved.”

I never thought it would happen but here we are and I couldn’t be more stoked. This means it’s time for setting sights on the next big goal. Myself and the @mustangs.cycling program are looking forward to taking on the domestic elite fields in 2026 and I’m looking forward to playing my part in it.

I want to thank them for giving me a home, their support and the whole community that has rallied around me and Kim through this crazy journey.

I hope that some of this story is motivation for those of you on the fence about racing. It’s never going to be easy but I think that’s the point. Maybe it’s time to talk to yourself or a coach about what some goals you should have in 2026? The crit scene could always use more riders.

Not sure if it’s a pedal strike or the crosswalks. Talked to the boys after the race and they’re ok. by @shotreshot
