When you say anything to me or my kid by @skaxdad

October 2026 was rough. I am so grateful for my wife for helping me stay sane through everything. With all of our loss we continue to move forward and make the best of everything. by @skaxdad

My sweet girl, my soul pup, my Champa crossed the rainbow bridge last night. I can’t even begin to put into words how much she means to me. She was the goofiest & goodest girl. She loved EVERYONE. You couldn’t take one step into our house without Champa immediately greeting you & tricking you into endless pets. I can’t believe she’s gone.

When we rescued her 9 years ago, she had been living in a hoarding home, shut in a closet with 6–7 other dogs, fighting for food & water. San Antonio Pets Alive told us her scars & missing teeth were from that time, & that she might be reluctant around other dogs. They also told us she was heartworm positive & would need lots of treatment. None of that changed our minds. We knew she belonged with us.

As soon as she met Baby, they were inseparable. She beat heartworms & gave us so many healthy, happy years. When Bisky came along, she immediately clung to Champa, who taught her everything about being a good pup & protecting our family. She lived so much longer than we even hoped for & for that we’ll forever be so grateful.

She truly saved me so many times. She was the best listener & could cheer you up with just a goofy ass look. I hope she knew how much she was loved. How much she still is. I miss her so much already. My biggest consolation is that she’s with Baby now & they’re pissing on whatever they want & eating all the treats.

Please give your pups, cats, & pets the biggest hug from us in honor of Champa today🖤 by @skaxdad

Today my family lost my Grandpa. My Grandpa had rough battle with dementia and it took a turn for the worse this past weekend. My family knew it was a matter of days and because of that he was surrounded by his loved ones. It still doesn’t feel real. I love you, Grandpa. by @skaxdad

Life keeps throwing us curveballs. It’s ok. Me and Kayla, Jason, the Starlighter crew, have dedicated years to build this community and we’re not stopping. Moth Milk brought new people to the deco district and provided a space for kids and families to explore and have fun. We are a DIY venue.

Yesterday someone called the City of SA on Kayla and Moth Milk for permits. The city shut Moth Milk down... TEMPORARILY. Because we are not done. This is only forcing us to grow faster than anticipated.

It’s really easy to give up. We just can’t see the future without the Starlighter and without Moth Milk. So we’ll still be here working and learning and growing.

We appreciate everyone who’s donated, everyone who’s shared the post, everyone who’s reached out about supporting the Starlighter. We have benefit shows this weekend and more coming soon!

Thank you all so much. This is not the end of anything. by @skaxdad

Hey y’all! We can’t thank you enough for the love and support. We have the best community. We’re still working on raising money to meet the goal. We’ve got a few benefit shows lined up to help! Not going to lie, I felt super nervous asking for help in the first place, but you all have made us feel so supported. We’re working with our landlord to stay open and we’re doing our best to keep bringing live music, local vendors, good vibes to the deco district. A very big thank you from us to you. Whether you donated money or shared the link or just sent words of encouragement, we thank you! -Jacob by @skaxdad

Hey y’all! Jacob here reaching out for some help for the Starlighter. We’re behind on rent and need some help with some upgrades. Our landlord has been working with us, but we’re at the point where we need to bring in some money. The money raised will also help us get a TABC license so that we can make extra money in addition to ticket sales. I know that money is tight for everyone right now, so even a share would be helpful! If you have any questions or concerns please DM me @skaxdad . Thanks y’all. Link is in the bio. by @skaxdad

No bc what do you mean my little baby, angel baby, first love of my life, my reason for being, my broke best friend, my biggest cheerleader & also bully, the literal coolest person I’ve ever known is 18 YEARS OLD?!?!

THERE MUST BE A MISTAKE 😭 There’s no way this baby is the same age I was when I had them🥹

I am so incredibly proud of the person you are, the person you will still become, & every part in between. You are the best gift i’ve ever been given, Lee 😭

I love your tender heart, your strong will, your love for music & long car rides, your humor, your humility, your conviction, & the way you see the world. I’m so damn lucky to be your mama🥹

Happy Birthday, baby, you’re growing up!!! Your Pops & I love you with everything we got & we’ll never stop🖤 by @skaxdad

My little baby is 18. Happy Birthday Lee! You’re so amazing and you’ve made me a better person. It’s been the greatest privilege to watch you grow and become your own person. Me and your mom are so proud of you and we will be here to help you grow. Rents due on the first. Love you baby! by @skaxdad
