Opening day @skilouise is always more of a community event than just a ski day. After waiting all summer, we start early - sharing hugs and high fives with friends as we bring in those first sweet turns of 26/27.

I don’t jump off cliffs very often anymore, but I’m glad @mckerrellphotography is there to capture it when I do.

When I moved to Canada for the 2009-2010 season I always used to hang out at the Delirium Dive gate looking for partners. That’s how I met James Ford and @cyclone911 , and after one lap with them it became pretty clear we’d be skiing together a lot from that point onwards. James was an absolute force of nature - loud, full of stoke, and an incredibly strong and aggressive skier; always attacking the fall line and jumping off anything and everything. He kindly took me under his wing that season, taking me to all sorts of hidden spots and cool zones, excitedly showing me new lines and cliffs and straight lines, and talking me into jumping off all sorts of things, no matter how sketchy the take off or how flat the landing. I had some of the best adventures of my life with that WTF crew in the following years, and its impact on my skiing trajectory and decision to make Canada my permanent home cannot be underestimated. This past Christmas, me, James and @travisfinlayson went back to one of our old favourites and skied it in some of the best and deepest snow we’ve ever skied together - a truly magical day out in the mountains.
