POSTS STORIES REELS

This season has gone far from what I would have liked.

For the first time in my career, I won’t race a half Ironman. I only raced once this year—and it wasn’t even a full triathlon. It was a duathlon after the swim was cancelled.

This year has been a learning year, but more importantly, an acceptance year.

I’ve had to learn to be flexible with my training, with what my body allows, and with the physical and mental state I’m in each day. I’ve had to accept that the potential I once believed I had might be gone—that I may never truly reach it.

As frustrating and painful as that can be, I’ve realized something far more important:

Who I am and what I’ve accomplished in this sport is ENOUGH. I AM ENOUGH.

I refuse to let my hunger for more blind me from everything I’ve already achieved.

This is NOT a retirement post. I’m still working toward another start line—with health and, most importantly, joy.

But I’ve also realized that while I absolutely belong in this sport, the capacity of where I belong may have shifted. And I’m okay with that.

I’m incredibly grateful for my parents and girlfriend for their constant love and support. My @realtrisquad and @endureallcoaching family for keeping me going when things feel bleak. And the @blanks_sports_nutrition team for continuing to believe in me this season. I may not have been able to showcase your products through my own performance, but thankfully, my athletes have done that for me. 🤍

“Let go and let God.”

That’s what I’m learning to live by.

Let go of what I can’t control. Let go of who I thought I needed to become. And trust that whatever comes next will be enough.

I still want to race. I still want to train. I still want to see what I’m capable of.

But I’m learning that I don’t need to achieve more to know that I am enough. by @skiptomysambambam

When two souls meet and somehow feel like they’ve known each other for a lifetime, you just know it’s meant to be. ❤️

This past year with you, my love, has been the most beautiful year of my life. With every day, I fall deeper in love with you. Our hearts are forever connected, and I can’t wait to spend a lifetime discovering all that the future holds for us.

As long as I have you, I know the best is yet to come. ❤️✨ by @skiptomysambambam

“Let go of whatever was and walk into whatever is.”

Since it’s Men’s Mental Health Month, I wanted to use this platform for something real.

The last few years have been a battle—not just physically, but mentally. A battle to find joy in triathlon again after so many setbacks. A battle to stay committed to training when my health has felt unpredictable and “what’s the point?” seemed easier to believe than hope. A battle to get back to the person I was before chronic asthma, mold illness, fear, and anxiety changed the way I viewed my life.

There have been days where I felt like I didn’t belong in this sport anymore. Days where I felt completely lost—not just as an athlete, but as a person trying to figure out where I fit in the world.

At times, anxiety, fear, and depression won. They affected my relationships, my faith, my work, and my training.

But I’ve started to realize that maybe the battle isn’t about preventing these struggles from showing up. Maybe it’s about refusing to let them stop me from living the life I’ve been given.

It’s not about becoming who I used to be. It’s about becoming who I’m meant to be.

The path may look different than I imagined, but I’m done measuring myself against the past. I’d rather chase my potential than let fear dictate my future.

Here’s to letting go of whatever was and walking into whatever is. 🤍 by @skiptomysambambam

RTS Team Camp — I’m still buzzing. 🙌

This week was hands down the biggest week I’ve ever spent in the saddle, and I’m walking away more fit, more invigorated, and more motivated than ever before. Long days, big miles, tired legs… and somehow even bigger smiles. I’m leaving camp so eager and hungry for what’s going to be a massive 2026 season.

Beyond the training, this camp was about people. So many new friends, so many laughs, and memories I’ll carry with me long after the soreness fades. There’s something really special about suffering together, celebrating together, and genuinely enjoying every moment along the way.

Fuel-wise… the amount of @blanks_sports_nutrition consumed was unreal 😅 and it absolutely did its job — no bonks, just consistent energy day after day.

Huge shoutout to @race_chase for running this camp. The care, the structure, the vision — there truly is no one better in the sport of triathlon at creating something that’s not only high-performing, but also so fun and meaningful. What he’s built is incredibly special.

And finally… @realtrisquad. What a team I have. If you’re looking for a triathlon group that is experienced, high-performing, knows how to work hard *and* have fun, and is made up of genuinely amazing humans — look no further. This is it.

Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. Onward to 2026. 🚀

“The work you put in today becomes the strength you rely on tomorrow.” by @skiptomysambambam

In 2025, a lot didn’t go as planned—but I learned more about myself than ever before.

I found a deeper pride in who I am as a man. I grew physically, emotionally, spiritually, and professionally in ways I didn’t know I needed. Some truly tough obstacles came and went, moments that tested me at my core—but I stood the test of time.

That’s why 2026 is different.
This is the year I remind myself who I truly am.
I remind myself of what I’m capable of.
I remind myself that I can be successful in every facet of my life.

The last two years challenged me greatly—but they did not defeat me.
It’s time to turn the tides. This is where that begins.

“Never forget who you are, because the world will try to remind you of everything you’re not.”

All glory to God. Here’s to 2026. by @skiptomysambambam

From the day I was born, I was faced with my first obstacle — a club foot on my right foot. For those who don’t know, a club foot is a condition where the foot is twisted out of shape or position, making even the simplest movements a challenge early on.

Fast forward to today, and some of you know about my most recent battle — fighting mold toxicity for over 3 years. Mold toxicity happens when your body is exposed to harmful mold spores, which can cause chronic fatigue, brain fog, pain, and even make it difficult to breathe — both in daily life and especially when exercising. It’s a condition that can strip away your energy, clarity, and physical ability, making it incredibly hard to live a normal life, let alone perform as an endurance athlete. These past few years have tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally in ways I never imagined.

But this isn’t a pity post. This is a post of gratitude. Despite every obstacle, I’m beyond thankful that God chose to give me life and bless me with my incredible parents on this very day. On my birthday, I’m reminded that the people and blessings in my life far outweigh any hardship. Every single day is a gift — not a guarantee.

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24

Here’s to 29 years so far on this planet… and hopefully a massive amount more. 🙏✨ by @skiptomysambambam

August 📸 Roll 🏊‍♂️ ☀️ 🏋️‍♂️ 🤳 …

August was easily my most favorite month I’ve had in a long time!! I kept my base training steady as I look forward to a big race season next year. I got to spend more quality time with my family as we celebrated my cousin and her fiancé’s upcoming wedding and my dad’s 80th birthday. Many a sunrise/sunset were captured as always. And, had many a fun date night with my favorite person ❤️

Now, can Texas just start to cool off cause these 100 degree days are really starting to get old 🫠 by @skiptomysambambam

July 📸 Roll 🚴 🏊 🌅 🏋️‍♀️ …

July saw some good base training, going to Houston to see my parents and friends I hadn’t seen in a while, continuing to build some good workout content for my athletes, exploring different parts of the hill country, and just enjoying life to the fullest!

And yes … I did start this post off with a photo from June (but I just miss riding in Colorado that much 🙃haha) by @skiptomysambambam
