NECROMUNDA TERRAIN MAKERS RESULTS #WASTELANDHIDEOUT results are in. For this category we wanted to be thrown into the Ash Wastes and see what's lurking. Perhaps a hideout for an outcast gang, or an enforcer outpost. We were blown away with entries covering all kinds of gangs and stories. 🏆 CATEGORY WINNER: @jtrainpainting Alrethian:: "This is what I envision a hideout in the Ash Wastes to look like." This terrain is beautiful. We loved the cinematic shots and the perfect placement of ZM tiles carved into Ash. They blended beautifully. Two standout runners-up: @nameless_vessel - "the setting and details make it feel powerfully creepy and I love that" This piece is hauntingly beautiful, the colours, the grime, the story. We were blown away! @gamerule_keeplnventory_true - this thing beggars belief in terms of scale and ingenuity. It was a pleasure to watch the construction and we can imagine playing games on this, and taking pictures of our minis for days! For our Commended Entry we have @sipiczkimate . The pipes and wires going into the skull is inspired and it would be a fab centrepiece. Congratulations to @jtrainpainting our runners-up and everyone who entered. Thank you to our sponsors! @skirmish_mats @tempestterrain @orangebrushes @LPP_insta @sump_lab Five categories down. One to go! Then #BestInShow and #VoiceOfTheHive. Our last Category will be announced on @guildersfordradio next episode so stay tuned! #NecromundaTerrainMakers #necromunda #ntm2026wip by @skirmish_mats
NECROMUNDA TERRAIN MAKERS RESULTS #TALESFROMTHEUNDERHIVE results are in. For this category we wanted to feel something. Story, immersion. And we got it. 🏆 CATEGORY WINNER: @pigment_pig Spam: "Holy hells. Seeing the images and the WIP photos shows the sheer workload and dedication to the pieces that this guy has. Each board section tells a story, with the trash, the tiny pieces of detritus and cast offs you know you’re going to see in the Underhive. Severe lack of crabs, this cost him a few points, but I seriously think this is a perfect terrain board. Well done Brad. You’ve killed it."* Two standout runners-up: @nameless_vessel - "Firstly, bonus points for the crusted and apocalyptic look of the board. The contrast between the wastes and the water is just insane. Everything about the board shows the generations of built up scrap and waste and the peoples who make their lives amongst it all. This board is 100% what a display piece should show. It’s plain enough to not take away from the miniatures you’re trying to photograph, but every time you look at it, you notice something new. Maybe it’s a discarded weapon, or an Imperial Aquila that hasn’t been defiled, or one of the various creatures emerging to hunt. Every time I look at these pictures, more of the story is told and it’s beautiful." @hyenapainting et al. - "The thing I can’t figure out, is how this terrain makes me feel claustrophobic and exposed at the same time. The thrown together, but totally uniform appearance to it all is seemingly impossible but it’s right there in front of us. The industrial and apocalyptic elements to the terrain make it look so damn cool. It’s the little details that make this entry stand out. The 'Dead End' sign, the posters and the built up grime. Not just everywhere, but in the places people wouldn’t be cleaning it aside. It’d be such pleasure to play on this." Congratulations to @pigment_pig, our runners-up and everyone who entered. Thank you to our sponsors! @skirmish_mats @tempestterrain @orangebrushes @LPP_insta @sump_lab Four categories down. Two to go! Then #BestInShow and #VoiceOfTheHive. #NecromundaTerrainMakers #underhivelorekeepers by @skirmish_mats
