Doomscrolling? Binge-watching? Not on Sleep Daddy's watch. He's here to put bad sleep to bed. Get serious about sleep 🥸💤⁣ ⁣ #SleepCountry #SleepWell #SleepDaddy by @sleepcountrycan
We spend a lot of time thinking about how to make better financial decisions for our family. But we’ve realized that being good with money isn’t only about saving and investing. Sometimes it’s about investing in the things that help you show up better. Because when we’re exhausted, we have less patience, less energy and probably aren’t making our best decisions either. Upgrading our sleep with @sleepcountrycan and our Sleep Expert Ashley, wasn’t just about a new sleep setup. It was about taking better care of ourselves so we have more to give to the people who matter most. Our kids don’t need us to squeeze every last hour out of today. They need the best version of us tomorrow. #ad #SleepCountryCanada #Sleepwell by @sleepcountrycan
Don’t let an old pillow haunt your sleep. 👻🛏️ Find comfort that lasts… maybe even an eternity. 🧛‍♂️💤 Happy Halloween! 🎃 [Better sleep, Comfortable pillow, Pillow support] by @sleepcountrycan
With some of the biggest shopping days of the year coming up, it was a good reminder: a good deal isn’t just about the lowest price, it’s about getting real value from what you spend. Being smart with money doesn’t always mean spending less, sometimes it means being more intentional about what you spend it on. We put so much thought into purchases we use for a few hours a week, yet our last mattress was basically chosen by lying on it for a few minutes and saying, “Yep, feels good.” Our Sleep Expert at @sleepcountrycan helped us understand what we actually need based on how we sleep, making the whole process feel a lot less like guessing. And somehow… Caro and I actually agreed on one. Now let’s see if we still agree once it gets home. #ad #SleepCountryCanada #Sleepwell by @sleepcountrycan
In July I was up at 5:45, working out, morning-personing it UP and truly insufferable. These days, however, I hit snooze three times and need two coffees before I can produce a full sentence. Same alarm, same amount of sleep, completely different human. This is not a sudden personality change. It is the fall sleep slump, and it’s all to do with light exposure! Light signals to my brain that the day has started. In July, it shows up before my alarm does. In the fall, 5:45 is still the middle of the night as far as my body is concerned, and I don’t do things in the dark, thanks.   More than half of Canadians say they feel like they need more sleep in the fall and winter, but maybe we need more light too? And if a full fall calendar means I am genuinely short on sleep too, that is sleep debt stacking on top. What actually helps, in order: 1. Light in my eyes within an hour of waking 2. Weekend wake up within an hour of my weekday one 3. Last coffee by 2pm (I’m sorry!) 4. Making sure my bed is actually a place I want to sleep, thanks to the sleep experts at @sleepcountrycan. One clinical note, because I always say it: if you are lying awake for hours or waking up and cannot get back to sleep, that is a different conversation than sleep debt, and it is worth talking to someone about. These moms are all in sleep-debt, the difference between the amount of sleep they need and what they’re getting, and I can see how the build-up is affecting them: low energy, shorter patience, skipping plans with me, and relying on quick fixes. Thanks to @sleepcountrycan , I know that Hotel Auntie Pretty is guaranteeing my girls the rest they deserve. #ad #SleepCountryCanada #SleepDebt #sleepwell by @sleepcountrycan
