We have a beautiful closing line-up for this year’s #mainlinemusicfest on Sunday, Sept. 13 at @thinking.man.tavern 🍻✨ featuring @slopingband @jahnahcamille @equal.creatures @feltie.band and @mrewinck ☀️💚 Tickets are on sale now through the link in our bio 🔗🎟️↖️ 🎨: Flyer design by @ghostcostco 🎨: Artist profiles by @ajajeanarnold @slopingband is the project of Atlanta singer-songwriter @jjposway, who has an undeniable dedication to the craft of songwriting——one that almost borders on obsession. A clear disciple of some of the most celebrated and methodical indie folk songwriters of the past few decades, such as Elliott Smith, Phil Elverum, Stephin Merritt, and Bill Callahan, Sloping is Posway’s designated outlet for his most intimate and carefully constructed work. Posway’s penchant for fiercely honest and meticulous storytelling was immediately apparent on Sloping’s ephemeral 2021 debut album ‘Completed Songs’ for sound as language. ‘Completed Songs’ plays like a water-damaged photo album filled with half-legible snapshots of fleeting sensory details and quiet dissatisfaction. @jahnahcamille (pronounced “Hannah”) is a young indie folk-rock artist from Birmingham whose songs capture the angst, heartbreak, and introspection over a well-made bed of driving guitars and catchy, compact melodies. Her latest album, ‘My sunny oath!’ (Winspear Records, 2025), was co-produced with producer and engineer @alex_farrar (MJ Lenderman, Wednesday, Indigo de Souza) and serves as a guitar-based grab at self-acceptance with unflinching momentum. Channeling songwriting influences from The Sundays and Liz Phair, Camille’s second release adds to her debut EP ‘i tried to freeze light, but only remember a girl,’ which landed Jahnah on tours opening for Luna Li, Tops, and Blondshell. Set in stormy self-development, ‘My sunny oath!’ pushes through the muck of outgrown relationships, misogyny, and hometown anxiety, while marking a decisively bold and exploratory direction for Camille’s sound. @equal.creatures is an Atlanta indie band founded by @songbirdwithasorethroat in 2021 and is a delightful concoction of indie-pop fun, bubblegrunge grit, emo catharsis, & the Americana by @slopingband

@slopingband is the project of Atlanta songwriter @jjposway, whose songs have a lived-in quality that makes even the smallest details feel important. His music pairs careful, inward-looking storytelling with gentle acoustic guitar, found sounds, samples, and rough edges that make the recordings feel less polished than preserved. Sloping’s debut album, ‘Completed Songs,’ arrived in 2021 via Sound As Language. Written, performed, recorded, and mixed primarily by Posway himself, the record moves between sparse acoustic songs and stranger, more atmospheric passages, circling memory, reconciliation, and the uncomfortable work of figuring out who you are. See Sloping at #mainlinemusicfest on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Thinking Man Tavern.
