some in progress paintings, trying to paint more & care less lately.

as much as i enjoy painting i don’t think im very good at it and i sure do despise being bad at something. i pick apart everything i create. often to the point of hating it so much i never finish. I don’t want to share my paintings but i want to share on Instagram.

I think im entering a phase of giving up the pressure i put on myself to have a ‘curated’ feed, of posting only completed work that meets my strict criteria to be seen by other people & rather just posting to post. as i think of the future i envision for myself in this field I want to be more of a multidisciplinary artist than strictly tattooer. that means showing more content that is not related to tattooing but feels authentic and not forced. being booked with tattoos gives me the excuse to not have to post on ig but if I want to create physical art products in the future i gotta step up my game. idk guys im rambling but anyways to sum it up im planning a transition to a more consistent ig presence with entirely inconsistent themes of content that reflect my life. painting, crafts, photos, gardening, and of course, tattoos. by @slowdays.studio

guyssss i outdid myself with this sheet. i hope you love it & fingers crossed everyone doesn’t pick the same thing (butterfly for most popular??) okay but i wish i could set a limit of how many of each flash can get claimed, but i cant. SO i may message you and see if you had another one you equally like, OR let me know in advance and I’ll tell ya what’s been the popular pick. also pretty please pay attention when picking which day you are booking, every flash weekend there’s someone that misses their appointment thinking it’s the other day. don’t let it be you :-)

anyways, see you this weekend !!! by @slowdays.studio

dear summer of working less

this is probably one of the first summers where i feel content with the end. a summer that felt like forever. lots of landscape work. painting for the fun of it. a trip to italy with my mother. berry picking. summer adventures. time spent seaside. building our greenhouse. time with friends. a summer gone but never forgotten.

now i can feel satisfied and look forward to the slowness of winter. here’s to a winter of working, reading, relaxing, crafting and planning for next summer !! by @slowdays.studio
