On another note (my hot takes on the Parisian arrondissements I’ve stayed at).

My first days living in Paris have been beautiful but crazy. I haven’t found an apartment yet, but I’ve been switching between hotels and a friend’s house in four different arrondissements, which is quite beautiful because I’ve gotten to experience life in different areas of Paris and have gotten a more intimate idea of what they’re like.

My hot take is: for solo travelers or people traveling with friends in their 20s–40s, please make sure to stay in the 18th at least once. It’s so fun and vivid; it feels like watching Moulin Rouge on Broadway, but in the flesh.

I was a bit scared of the 18th but have fallen in love. It has the most personality of them all, and it kind of feels like New York and Paris had a baby.

I then love the 17th the most, for all the opposite reasons. If you need a break in a loud city, you will feel like time stops, and the noise does too.

The 1st felt like being in my early 20s all over again, full of life and movement, and everything feels close by, even in Paris, a huge city. It’s always loud but has a lot of bars and restaurants. And a big, beautiful shopping mall, as well as a fountain where birds shower. by @slowglowmj

Had the opportunity to stay for one night at the @palisociety Palihotel in San Diego.

Loved every bit of it, with 20th-century Victorian architecture & their elevators that have been working since 1912 (the fastest in the world at the time) you feel the past for a little bit. Their restaurant is french inspired with an american touch😋🤤.

Would especially recommend it for couples and solo travelers.
