It might be hard to believe, but moving on the moment you feel you’ve peaked in a project is one of the smartest career moves you can make. It’s the pruning paradox — a universal truth that we’ve learned from nature. Cutting away old branches stimulates new, healthier growth. Releasing creates space for more.

When the internet started calling @patrickta “Patrick Columbus” in light of his Transition Blush launch, I realized—there actually IS something UNIQUELY American about BLUSHGATE. 🇺🇸 🚩

Here’s why:
The colonization of ideas is an unfortunate feature of the American success formula. One of the reasons it keeps working is that art moves at the speed of inspiration, while commerce moves at the speed of whoever employs the theft and infrastructure 💔

Bigger businesses aren’t sitting in brainstorms waiting for inspiration. They surveil. They watch who’s building something with cultural traction, extract it, plug it into their existing infrastructure, and manufacture a launch moment.

It’s a part of the workflow (and the American way)—the originator almost never becomes the beneficiary.
