Carved In Ice has a new release date: February 23, 2027.

The truth is, this year has been a lot for me mentally, and I didn’t write as much as I planned. Rushing to meet my original deadline was only adding more pressure. I want to give you the best version of Luna & Zayden’s story I possibly can.

Unfortunately, changing the date also meant I had to cancel my original preorder, and lost all my preorders😭. If you preordered before, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider preordering again.

ARC sign up for Carved in Ice is currently open and are expected to go out late January.

Kickstarter backers will still get their ebook a month before release! by @smardline.s_author

She’s the figure skater. He’s the hockey player. And the only thing more dangerous than falling for each other... is the truth buried beneath the ice.
Welcome to Valcérre. An elite university in the middle of the snowy mountains with the best hockey and figure skating programs in the world, and secrets no one talks about.
Luna Del Sol is the new figure skater trying to prove she belongs. As a Black Latina, she’s used to pressure. To skate like she has something to prove.
She didn’t come here to get distracted, but she wasn’t ready for Valcérre’s broody hockey star, who calls her an ice princess on her first day, like she’s just another pretty face, as if she didn’t fight for every opportunity she’s ever had. She hates him for it.

Zayden Aldenhurst is the coach’s son, a legacy hockey star, and the only Black player on the team. Everyone thinks he has it all, but he’s just good at pretending. Until Luna walks in like a storm and reminds him of the things he tried to bury, and everything he shouldn’t want.
They’re supposed to hate each other until an anonymous message leads them to a hidden rink where a student died five years ago.
No matter how hard they try to stay away, they are drawn back together like magnets. And the closer they get, the thinner the ice beneath them becomes. One crack, and everything could shatter.

Amazon Bestselling Author Smardline S. and Award Wining Director and Producer Ahsha Davis are teaming up to bring you The Shadow Rink—A Written on Ice Story. For fans who have loved Luna and Zayden, we present to you a small excerpt from the book to give you a glimpse and the world surrounding Luna and Zayden’s love story.

In a world where adaptations are at their height, there is a lack of characters of color, particularly Black characters, and more specifically Black Hockey Players and Figure skaters. While we appreciate that amazing and talented authors are bringing romance to screens, we often don’t see Black and Brown characters at the forefront.
It is important to us that we see stories with people who look like us and are done by us. There are so many amazing stories with Black and Brown leads, and we’d like to help readers and consumers see themselves on the screens. by @smardline.s_author
