Other strangers in Korea ❣️

#drawingstrangers #art #portrait #drawing #korea by @smedu_alessandra

Two more drawings for the drawingstrangers series! I’m really happy with these two because the girl (who is super cute) is the barista at the café I’ve fallen in love with here in Korea.
She was so happy about it that she gave me one of the shop's cakes (which was delicious, by the way) ❣️❣️ It was so touching.

Two more portraits of strangers.
The little boy was particularly fun to draw because he looked so serious and scowling, and his mom was absolutely delighted once she realized I was giving her the drawing ❣️
The young woman sitting near me in Aquagarden Cafè was also impressed ❣️ she looked so beautiful gazing at the fish in the tank—I was really struck by her fascinated expression.

My collection of portraits of strangers continues. Seeing their faces break into a smile right after the surprise of discovering I’ve drawn them is a wonderful feeling. And when they realize I’m actually giving the drawing to them as a gift, the smile that follows is something truly unique and rare.
In this instance, it was three friends at a café, simply having a good time. One of them was a bit more serious, but when she saw the drawing, hers was the most rewarding smile of all ❣️

When you start drawing the bargirl of La Bamba Hongdae and continui with other people on receipt's paper 🤣🤣

Very funny night ❣️❣️

Thanks to @__k_ain_0403 , @whois.niinii and @labamba_hongdae ( and the other strangers ❣️)

Two friends at a café—I just had to draw them. Seeing their excitement and surprise when I gave them the sketch was incredibly satisfying. It was quite a challenge to draw them one after the other, and quickly, before they left ❣️

This wonderful initiative of sketching strangers across Korea continues. The level of personal satisfaction is immense ❣️

The smile that emerges when they see their portrait is deeply moving—it hits you on a visceral level.

Thanks ❣️

Drawing strangers in Corea

I love how people react to receiving their portrait as a gift. Some reciprocate with small tokens of appreciation, while others offer a smile so beautiful that it makes me feel good, too.
These are the first four I’ve done since I arrived.
