Today, I gave my last medical school exam and officially became Dr. Hafsa Mazhar. And as I walked out of that final exam, I realized something that made me pause: I wasn’t worried about what comes next. Not because the journey was easy. Not because I had everything figured out. But because while I was studying medicine, I was quietly building something alongside it. I started earning in my third year of medical school. At the time, I had no roadmap, no guarantee it would work, and honestly, no confidence that I knew what I was doing. Looking back, the hardest part wasn’t learning new skills. It wasn’t finding clients. It wasn’t building systems. It wasn’t even balancing medical school with business. The hardest part was “starting” That first step felt terrifying. You spend weeks, sometimes months, overthinking. Wondering if you’re good enough. Wondering if you’ll fail. Wondering what people will say. Then one day, you start. And slowly, things begin to make sense. You learn. You improve. You do mistakes. You build systems. You gain confidence. You stop feeling like an imposter. And eventually, the thing that once felt impossible becomes part of your daily life. Six months into taking LinkedIn seriously, I became Top Rated on Upwork. Today, Alhamdulillah, I’m earning more than I ever imagined I could while still being a student. Not sharing that to impress anyone. Sharing it because I know there is someone reading this who is currently stuck at the exact stage that almost stopped me: The beginning. If that’s you, here’s what I’d tell you: Don’t wait until you feel ready. Start scared. Start uncertain. Start before you have all the answers. Because years from now, you’ll realize the decision that changed everything wasn’t getting better. It was simply getting started. Alhamdulillah for the journey. #leadwithhafsa #womeninspiringwomen #womenarticles #freelancinglife #independentlife by @smmgeniehafsa
Saw a job posting last week that genuinely made me stop. “We’re hiring but you must be comfortable using our AI system to manage all content creation.” I screenshot it. Then I saw another one. And I understand why companies are going this route. AI is fast. It’s cheap. It never takes a day off. On the surface it makes complete sense. But I kept sitting with this feeling I couldn’t shake. Because I’ve spent years helping founders and coaches build authority on LinkedIn and… The thing that actually moves people The thing that makes someone stop scrolling and think “this person gets it” has never been the WRITING. It’s been everything underneath the writing. AI cannot do this: → Find the one belief you hold that your entire industry quietly disagrees with and make that your positioning → Know which client story to tell and which one to sit on for three more months → Understand that your audience doesn’t need another tip, they need to feel genuinely understood → Recognize the gap between what your audience says they want and what they actually respond to AI produces output. It does not produce perspective. It does not produce positioning. It does not understand that the reason someone buys from you is rarely the post itself, it’s the accumulated weight of everything you’ve said before it. You can publish every single day and still be invisible. I’ve seen it happen to people who are genuinely brilliant at what they do. The problem was never their consistency. It was that nobody ever helped them figure out what they actually stood for and how to say it in a way that made the right people lean in. That is the work And no system can do it for you. If you’re a founder or coach who’s showing up on LinkedIn but not seeing it convert, send me a DM with “BRAND” and I’ll show you exactly what’s missing. by @smmgeniehafsa
Most people on LinkedIn talk about their services in one of two ways: Like they’re apologizing for having a business. Or like they’re standing in a mall with a microphone. Both are hard to read. The better approach is simpler: Don’t “announce” your service. Show people what it feels like to go through it. That’s the difference between content and a brochure. Some formats that work well: 1) “Here’s what working with me actually looks like.” Not: “I help founders scale.” Nobody knows what that means anymore. Instead: “Every Monday, my clients send me messy voice notes. Every Friday, they leave with a week of content that sounds like them.” Now I can picture the experience. 2) “Here’s what changed.” The best client stories aren’t dramatic. They’re specific. Not: “We increased engagement.” More like: “One client stopped opening LinkedIn with the same feeling people open overdue electricity bills. Three months later, he was posting thoughts straight from his Notes app and getting replies from people he’d wanted to work with for years.” That sounds human. Human sells better than metrics most of the time. That’s the middle path most people miss. You don’t need to hide your services. You just need to stop talking about them like an ad writer from 2017. by @smmgeniehafsa
My first post for a client got the same engagement in 1 hour that her previous post took 3 days to get. Same platform. Same audience. Same person behind the brand. The only thing that changed was how we positioned her. She’s an executive coach with 15+ years of experience. She knew her stuff deeply. But her content was speaking to everyone which meant it was landing with no one. When I came in, we didn’t reinvent her. We got brutally specific. → Who actually pays her → What they’re struggling with today → What they’re tired of hearing That first post went up. An hour in, same numbers her old post hit after 3 days. If your content feels invisible, check this: → Are you describing real, current pains? → Or vague, safe ideas everyone agrees with? → Are you talking to buyers? → Or to “people in your industry”? → Are you making them uncomfortable? → Or just nodding along? I work with founders and coaches on fixing this gap. Not by posting more. By making every post hit the right nerve. If you’re tired of sounding smart but not getting clients, DM me “Brand”. I’ll show you exactly where your message is missing. by @smmgeniehafsa
Most people explaining content pillars give you a framework with five boxes. I’ve never found that useful. So here’s what I actually do. The first question I ask every founder I work with: What does a stranger need to believe about you before they feel comfortable paying you? Not “what are you good at.” Not “what topics do you cover.” What needs to be true in their head. That question almost always contains the pillars already. For most founders it comes down to 3 things: → They need to believe you know what you’re doing → They need to believe you’re someone they’d actually want to work with → They need to believe your thing gets results That’s credibility, character, and proof. Everything goes under one of those three. Every post you write is either building one of them. Here’s where most founders go wrong: They build pillars around topics. “Leadership.” “Entrepreneurship.” “Marketing.” Fine. But does reading a post about leadership make me trust you enough to hire you? Or does it just make you look like the 400 other people talking about leadership this week? The pillar isn’t the topic. The pillar is your specific angle on the topic, one that could only come from what you’ve actually lived. That’s the difference between content that builds a brand and content that just fills a calendar. The real test: could someone read 10 of your posts and tell you exactly what you do and why they should trust you? If not, the pillars aren’t the problem. The thinking behind them is. My DMs are open if you want to talk through yours. by @smmgeniehafsa
The hook everyone taught you to write is now the reason people scroll past you. I’ve been on LinkedIn long enough to watch a tactic go from clever to cliché in real time. You know these: → “I made $1M in 6 months. Here’s what I did:” → “Unpopular opinion:” (says something extremely popular) → “She said one thing that changed my life:” These aren’t hooks anymore. They’re skip signals. When a formula gets taught to everyone, it stops working for everyone. Your brain now recognizes the pattern before it registers the content. And it moves on. Here’s what actually stops the scroll: → A line that feels too specific to be copied → A thought that sounds like it came from a real moment, not a content calendar → Something that feels like you started mid conversation → A sentence that makes them think, “wait… I’ve felt this but never said it” The best first line I ever wrote wasn’t a hook. It was just a very specific, very true thing that had been sitting in my head for days. That’s the whole secret. Founders and coaches, we’re in the business of building trust. And trust doesn’t start with a formula. It starts with someone reading your first line and thinking: “Wait. This person actually has something to say.” So stop writing hooks. Start writing the first honest sentence of a real thought. The scroll will stop on its own. - - - - - - - - - - If you’re serious about turning your content into trust and a real client base. DM “Brand” and I’ll share the details. by @smmgeniehafsa
No one saw how hard it got. No one saw the days you felt like giving up. No one heard the quiet prayers you made at night. They didn’t see the years you stayed patient. They didn’t see the strength it took to keep going. They didn’t see you trusting Allah when nothing made sense. All they’ll see… is the outcome. They’ll see the smile. They’ll see the success. They’ll see the life Allah builds for you. But they’ll never understand the journey behind it. Because some struggles are between you and Allah. And some rewards… are His way of answering every tear you never showed. #leadwithhafsa #freelancecontentwriter #linkedinlearning #lifeafter #brand by @smmgeniehafsa
4,000 people followed me on LinkedIn but this is what actually paid me. Not reach. Not content. Not consistency. Recognition. Because clients don’t buy from who they learn from. They buy from who they remember. And recognition is built like this: → See it once = interesting → See it twice = familiar → See it five times = association → See it ten times = “this is your guy” That’s when inbound starts. When your name connects to a problem. Most founders and coaches delay this. → New ideas every post → New angles every week → Trying to sound smart instead of clear Result? People consume. But don’t convert. What actually gets you paid: → One problem you own → One audience you repeat → One message you don’t dilute Again. And again. And again. Until there’s no confusion left. Because money doesn’t follow value. It follows clarity + recall. 4,000 followers didn’t change anything for me. This did. If you want inbound: Don’t ask “What should I post next?” Ask: “What problem should my name be tied to?” That’s when LinkedIn starts paying you. by @smmgeniehafsa
Come with me and let’s fix the lie in your headline. Yes, Lie. Because most headlines say things like: → Helping businesses grow → Empowering leaders → Passionate about impact Sounds nice. Means nothing. So let’s fix it. Step 1: Delete anything that could apply to 10,000 people. → “Helping businesses grow” Means nothing. Step 2: Say what actually happens after someone pays you. Not your role. The result. → “Turn messy offers into clear sales pages” → “Help coaches get clients without daily posting” Yes, it’s a bit basic. Do it anyway. Most of you still skip this. Step 3: Add friction. Yes. Friction. Make some people think: “Not for me.” Examples: → LinkedIn manager for coaches who are tired of sounding like everyone else → Business coach for founders who hate selling but still want revenue If nobody feels excluded… Nobody feels chosen. Step 4: Now the uncomfortable part. Write what you actually do… Not what sounds good. Examples: → “Build confidence” → That’s actually: “You’re scared to show up” → “Improve visibility” → That’s actually: “Nobody notices you” Say the real thing. That’s what hits. Step 5: Remove the polish. On purpose. If it sounds like a brochure… It gets ignored. This: → “I empower leaders to unlock potential” Becomes: → “I help you stop doubting yourself at work” Cleaner. Sharper. Human. That’s what people read. That’s what people click. Now your turn. Drop your headline. I’ll call out the lie. by @smmgeniehafsa
You’re trying to grow on LinkedIn… while changing identity every week. That’s why nothing sticks. Monday: insightful founder Tuesday: motivational coach Wednesday: mini Alex Hormozi Thursday: storytelling mode Friday: back to tips guy Pick a lane? Nah. You picked five. ↘ Here’s the uncomfortable part: Every time you switch tone, style, belief… You reset recognition to zero. No pattern. No identity. No memory. ↘ Thought leaders don’t win because they’re smarter. They win because they’re consistent in how they think. Not just what they post. How they see the world. ↘ Look closely and you’ll notice: → same types of opinions show up → same angles get repeated → same enemies get called out → same beliefs get reinforced It’s almost boring. Until it compounds. ↘ So if your content isn’t sticking: Don’t fix your hooks. Don’t fix your format. Fix your loyalty. Pick: → one core belief → one way of explaining things → one type of tension you love calling out And stay there longer than feels comfortable. Because people don’t follow variety. They follow patterns they can recognize. And trust. by @smmgeniehafsa
You’ve got $10,000 skills but you’re charging $1,000. Meanwhile, someone with half your talent is booking $10,000 clients. Why? They know how to create content that sells. Most people get content all wrong: → They post random motivational quotes (nobody remembers them). → They share vague tips (nobody connects with them). → They talk to everyone (and end up resonating with no one). When I had just 600 followers, I got my first client on LinkedIn. That was an inbound lead. Through my content. How? I followed 3 steps: → Step 1: Speak to ONE person. What keeps your ideal client awake at night? What problem do they wish they could pay someone to solve? Write for them, nobody else. → Step 2: Stop telling. Start SHOWING. People don’t trust big claims. They trust stories. Show them how you solve problems. Share your lessons, wins, and even failures. → Step 3: Post with PURPOSE. Want comments? Ask a polarizing question. Want clients? Share a bold opinion that positions you as an expert. Want trust? Teach something they can use today. Remember this: Your audience doesn’t need more content. They need better content. Skills = 100%. Content = 10%. Results = 0%. Your content is the bridge. So stop settling for scraps and start building demand. Want content that attracts leads who see your value? DM me “Content”, Let’s turn your $10,000 skills into $10,000 clients! by @smmgeniehafsa
