Hello! My name is Katie and I am the founder of Service Matters North East and the lead planner and designer of the firm. ⁣
⁣
The name service matters originated by our first wedding that we coordinated in 2010 and the constant drive to always provide the best service to our clients. ⁣
⁣
With a long history in the hospitality industry, we formed a business offering a variety of services for the wedding and event industry and even consulting on other businesses to assist them in growing their events and hospitality.
⁣
We quickly fell in love with the planning and production side of things planning events like: ⁣
⁣
Fundraisers, weddings, festivals, parties/celebrations, networking events, and more! ⁣
⁣
The non-traditional wedding and building frameworks for our couples to have weddings in non-traditional spaces is our expertise. ⁣
⁣
Planning and coordinating weddings at locations like: zoos, private locations, historic sites, farms, unique venues, traditional venues, and more! ⁣
⁣
We have a hospitality team enhancing weddings with bar service, floral design, service, production team, and more. ⁣ @josiesblooms
⁣
Over the years I’ve learned so much about myself, the industry, and the business. We are excited to meet you and stepping into 2025 with a lot of wisdom and excitement to be better than ever. ⁣
⁣
Now booking 2026 weddings and events.⁣

When you get married where you met all those years ago 🫶🏼

I loved being apart of Jessie and Adam’s wedding. They met working at @caramoor one summer and the rest was history. I love watching how Jessie pours her heart and soul into @caramoorweddings and events and to see her own special day was amazing 🫶🏼 she even turned her love and talent for baking speciality cookies into an interactive seating chart.

@caramoorweddings is such a special space and so much you can do on the property. It was important to our couple to show their guests all of the magical spaces where Jessie works.

I’ll keep you grounded, take care of the details, and make sure you feel every bit as good as your wedding looks.

Also, I’m pretty sure @jennlusardi830 and I were laughing about something completely unhinged here because that’s my love language: making sure you know I have every detail handled professionally, while also being your calm, your reassurance, and your person in the middle of it all.

I don’t ever take for granted the relationships I build with my couples and the fact that my work is someone’s most special day. 🤍 by @smneevents

Everything from the food styling to the florals, to the cedar walk, our bride had a vision. It was an honor to execute the vision and see Caroline and Billy’s special love in action. What a great day!

Caroline and Billy, I loved supporting you during the planning process and being apart of your wedding weekend. 🎷

Emily and Kevin’s wedding was a perfect example of the types of weddings we plan. Service matters means guest experience is always prioritized. We planned and designed this wedding with so many experiences for guests and our couple to feel surprised, taken care of, excited, comfortable, and well fed.

From the hotel experience to arriving on-site to the wedding included welcome drinks passed so it eliminated long bar lines and no matter when it was during the wedding weekend they had refreshments available to them at all times. Hospitality suite at the hotel, wine service, passed drinks, and a circular bar in the center of the reception space with a custom built back bar by @elitepbstentsevents

Cocktail hour and reception had a variety and plenty of seating for guests with lounges, high tops, and bistro tables for their almost 300 guests and so they could connect and not feel like they didn’t have anywhere to place their food or drink in a sunken garden atmosphere.

We had many food stations by @palmersevents including a raw bar, and dinner food stations with live service experiences for guests and paired floral and produce focal moments which @miramiraflorals nailed!!

An interactive seating chart and stationery at their table, great live music, and our team there like a well oiled machine.

So grateful for our vendor partners on this one who for a year planned along side of me and nailed the vision!

The Wedding Planners Dinner is officially LIVE!

December 7th, 4:30pm

And if you’ve been craving real connection with other people who truly understand this industry, this dinner is for you.

Wedding planning can be an incredibly beautiful career—but it can also feel isolating. We’re constantly creating experiences for our couples, solving problems, managing the pressure, and pouring so much of ourselves into our businesses.

So what happens when we create a room where we get to be supported, too?

That’s exactly what I wanted to create with WPC.

An intimate evening for wedding planners and creatives to step away from the hustle, sit around the table, share openly, ask questions, learn from one another, and build genuine relationships with people in our industry.

🤍 Our special guest: Sam Sheehy of @theperfectmatchweddings

Sam and I will be sitting down for an intimate fireside conversation about life, business, the wedding industry, lessons learned, and everything in between—with plenty of space for YOUR questions and an open dialogue with the room.

Your ticket includes:

An incredible three-course dinner at @lostfoxinn
An intimate fireside chat with Sam + Katie
Time to connect, share, and build relationships with fellow planners
Time to enjoy the beautiful Lost Fox Inn
An evening intentionally designed around community, support + connection

And if you want to make a night of it, rooms are available at the Inn for anyone who wants to stay overnight.

We’re also so grateful to @bryanweberphotography, @jessalynmeehanfilms and @musicboutiquenyc for joining us and helping make this evening extra special.
Flowers by @fleurconnecticut

It’s a table full of people who get it.

A place to ask the questions you don’t always feel comfortable asking.

To talk about the things we’re navigating behind the scenes.

To celebrate each other’s wins.

To learn from one another.

And maybe leave with a few new friends who understand exactly what it’s like to do what we do.

We saved you a seat!

Tickets are now available. Space is intentionally limited to keep this evening intimate.

Reserve your seat through the link in bio!! by @smneevents
