Hi 🤍

I’m an international esthetician based in Tokyo, originally from Ukraine. My philosophy combines the European approach to skin science with Japanese skin longevity practice.

My focus is skin health and longevity. No quick fixes, no ten-step routines, no trendy treatments. Just a bespoke approach built around your skin.

I began my career as a make-up artist. Then I moved to Japan and a whole new world of skin care opened up to me. I was mesmerized by how deeply people here care for their skin and for their long-term wellbeing in general.

I know from my own experience how exhausting it is to search for answers and try product after product without a solution. I want to be the person who guides you through it and helps you find a clear way forward.

Since then I’ve worked in Tokyo’s international environment and seen every kind of skin type, which shaped how I work today. Also I am currently advancing my professional education through the CIDESCO International Diploma, internationally recognised for its high standards in beauty and aesthetics. by @sofii.esthe

Our skin’s natural shield - hydrolipid film 💧

It’s a delicate mix of water (hydro) and oils (lipid) that sits on the surface of your skin, protecting it from dehydration , bacteria and irritation.

When it’s balanced → skin feels soft, hydrated and healthy
When it’s damaged → dryness, sensitivity, breakouts, and that “tight” feeling 🫠

What weakens it?
• Over-cleansing
• Harsh exfoliation
• Alcohol-heavy products
• Skipping moisturizer

What supports it?
• Gentle cleansing ( the best way is once a day , in some cases twice)
• Barrier-repair ingredients (ceramides, peptides , growth factor )
• Hydration
! Respecting your skin (not overdoing it ) .

💧Lymphatic drainage is a massage technique that aims to stimulate the lymphatic system to work more quickly, removing a greater amount of lymph that is accumulated between the cells.

💦It has a direct influence on the increase in tissue oxygenation, stimulates the elimination of toxins and metabolites, increases the amount of liquids among other functions.

As a ❕result there is: reduction of water retention , greater hydration and cell nutrition, faster healing of a wound (as a result of better blood circulation due to the decrease in water retention ) and faster reabsorption of hematomas. by @sofii.esthe

Did you know that humid and hot environment changes how our skin behaves?

Studies show that while hot weather increases oil production( which might feel naturally more hydrated on the surface) it also increases trans epidermal water loss - the amount of water that evaporates from the skin . As we sweat more our skin becomes dehydrated, leaving it feeling more sensitive, tight and dull .

As a result we might experience clogged pores , breakouts and inflammation making rosacea, pigmentation and sensitivity worse . This is why deeper care is essential 💧 by @sofii.esthe

Why professional extractions matter?

Doing extractions incorrectly at home can damage the skin barrier, spread bacteria and lead to irritation or scarring.

Professional extractions are performed in a controlled and hygienic way to minimize trauma to the skin.

After extractions skin may appear slightly red or sensitive for a short time( which is common and normal) but hydration, calming ingredients( ceramides panthenol , hyaluronic acid and SPF‼️) help support the skin barrier and recovery process😊 by @sofii.esthe

Protecting our skin in summer ( especially in Japan ) is more than just SPF ☀️

Humidity and strong UV can damage lipid layer which leads to dehydration, dullness, pigmentation

CHRISTINA Japan Award Ceremony & Conference 2026 ✨🥂

So grateful to attend again this year!

This is my fifth time attending and Sofia’s second time 👯‍♀️ @sofii.esthe

Everyone here just keeps getting more and more beautiful and their skin is absolutely glowing🥹✨

I started using CHRISTINA after seeing a real difference in my own skin, and now I see that same transformation in my clients every day.

I believe many of the salon owners here share the same passion and experience🫶🏻

I’ve used many skincare brands, but CHRISTINA stands out for how effectively it addresses individual skin concerns. that’s why I love it🩷

Skincare technology continues to evolve and I’m so excited to see what’s next💫

Does sugar age your skin ?

When consuming excess sugar , it triggers the process called Glycation , where sugar molecules attach to collagen and elastin ( proteins that keep our skin firm and youthful) . This reaction weakens them , leading to fine lines , sagging, elasticity loss.

High sugar intake also triggers inflammation and increases oil production - key contributors to breakouts , redness, uneven texture.

As someone with a sweet tooth I’m learning to cut back on added sugar not only for my figure, but for my skin health too. Japanese women often reduce their daily sugar intake for the same reason - it’s one of the secrets why they look young forever 🤭

Thankfully J-beauty philosophy and their advanced technology focus on deep nourishment and gentle skin recovery, helping restore even previously damaged skin in a healthy, balanced way 🧘🏼‍♀️ by @sofii.esthe
