Beyond the Dam🌍🦫

Blackburn softball’s Eastyn Williams is making the most of an unforgettable international experience in Italy! 🇮🇹🥎

Over the first three days of competition in Milan, Eastyn and her team faced three Italian clubs and two U.S. teams, finishing pool play with a 3-2 record. Along the way, she showcased her versatility by playing first base, second base, third base, shortstop, and left field.

When she wasn’t on the diamond, Eastyn explored some of Milan’s most iconic landmarks, including the Duomo di Milano, San Bernardino alle Ossa, Arco della Pace, and Castello Sforzesco, while experiencing the city’s rich culture.

Next up: bracket play, followed by visits to Florence and Rome to wrap up an incredible trip. 🇮🇹✈️

🥎 COMMITMENT ALERT! 🦫

Blackburn College Softball is excited to welcome Lexi Wood to the Beaver family!

Lexi joins us from Midwest Central High School in Manito, Illinois, where she has excelled as a MIF/RHP/Utility player and is also a dual-sport athlete. She plans to major in Biology (Pre-Med) while continuing her softball career at Blackburn.

During the 2024-25 varsity season, Lexi appeared in 20 games and posted an impressive .411 batting average, collecting 23 hits, 18 runs scored, 10 doubles, 1 triple, and 3 RBI in 56 at-bats. Her versatility, athleticism, and competitive drive will make her a tremendous addition to the Beaver softball program.

We're excited to welcome Lexi to the Blackburn family and look forward to seeing all she accomplishes both on the field and in the classroom.

Blackburn College Softball is excited to welcome Marissa Wiley from Edwardsville High School to the Beaver family!

Marissa plans to major in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources while continuing her softball career at Blackburn College.

A standout senior, Marissa had an outstanding season at the plate, finishing with a .467 batting average, 8 home runs, and 41 RBIs, showcasing the power and consistency she'll bring to our lineup.

We can't wait to see all that Marissa accomplishes both in the classroom and on the field.

Congratulations to Allison Whitcomb, who guessed it correctly! The player behind the pixels was Hannah Goett, a proud 2018 Blackburn College Softball graduate! 🥎🦫

Hannah finished her Blackburn career with an outstanding .373 lifetime batting average, making her one of the program's top hitters.
