No two retreats sound the same because no two icaros are sung the same way.

The same two Shipibo maestros guide each retreat from beginning to end, which changes what’s possible in the ceremonial space:

- The maestros determine the flow, pacing, and energy of each ceremony based on decades of experience and the specific needs of the group in front of them, not a fixed script.

- Every guest receives their own icaro over the course of the retreat.
A healing song sung directly to them, shaped by what that maestro senses in that moment.

- Because groups stay small, the healers get to know each guest personally as the days unfold, rather than repeating the same ceremony for every group that comes through.

- This kind of individual attention isn’t possible in retreats of 50 or 100 guests. It’s part of why the retreat structure is built intentionally small, with a max of 22 people.

- The relationship between a healer and a guest is built over days, not minutes, and that continuity is what makes the experience feel personal rather than performative.

This kind of care can’t be rushed. It’s central to how ceremony is held, and to why the healers who partner with Soltara are far more than facilitators.

“The medicine is calling. It’s time to pick up the phone.”

Nico speaks directly to anyone who’s felt the pull toward this work but hasn’t taken the next step.

It’s natural to feel scared. These are big, unfamiliar decisions. But you don’t have to figure it out alone. There are people here who have dedicated their lives to supporting journeys like this one, and who are ready to answer your questions, no matter how small.

If there’s even a flicker of a calling, that’s worth a conversation.

You can reach us anytime on WhatsApp, or book a discovery call to talk it through (link in bio).

We’re taught to keep moving, stay busy, set the next goal, focus on what’s coming next.

The world rewards looking forward, but what if the answers you’re searching for aren’t ahead of you?
What if they’re within you?

The truth is, so many of us carry questions we rarely allow ourselves to sit with.
They surface in quiet moments between meetings, during the drive home, or just before we fall asleep.

Is this who I am?
Is this the life I want to be living?
Why do I keep coming back to the same feelings, the same patterns, the same pain?

They’re uncomfortable questions, which is exactly why they’re so easy to push aside, and why we so often do.

At Soltara, we believe there’s value in turning toward what we’ve spent so much of our lives trying to outrun. Not to judge it or fix it overnight, but to understand it and sit with it, even when it’s uncomfortable.

You deserve to feel at home within yourself again.

Five nights @soltarahealingcenter three ceremonies, a new soul family, purging, releasing, and learning SO many lessons.

The short story: night one was rough, night two was gentle, and night three…popped offfffff.

Tomorrow on @thewooreport , my bestie @yourbucketlistguide and I get into it ALL—what actually happened in ceremony, the indigenous Shipibo cullutres I’m obsessed with, the retreat logistics, and the messages I brought home with me.

This medicine is a master teacher and I can’t wait to tell you what she showed me!!! 🤍

Episode drops tomorrow wherever you listen to podcasts!

Have you been feeling a little disconnected lately?

Sometimes, we get so caught up in the pace of everyday life that we forget what it feels like to simply slow down and just look around.

At Soltara, the surrounding lush jungle landscape becomes part of your unwinding and immersion into the experience. The sounds, the life, the feeling of living in harmony with nature. Our space is designed to spaciously compliment the environment, not separate you from it. Giving you room to breathe, re-awaken your senses, and find a little more space within yourself.

If you've been feeling the need to step away and come back to yourself, perhaps this is your sign. 🌿

As we continue to share the knowledge and practices surrounding this ancient medicine, we pay our respects to the Shipibo-Konibo teachers and elders of Peru, who have shared their traditions with such openness and generosity.

From the icaros sung in ceremony to the integration that follows, we will always recognise the responsibility we hold to approach these healing practices with humility, gratitude, and respect.

Although Indigenous Peoples’ Day marked just one day this month, the respect we carry for our surrounding communities is something we honour every single day.

The flower baths are offered at @soltarahealingcenter as the opening to an ayahuasca ceremony, prepared by the Shipibo Maestros. I learned so much about the Shipibo culture this trip - this a village untouched by western or Spanish influence, its so deep in the amazon they don’t have hospitals or health centers... everything they heal they heal with the 37 plants they work with...including broken bones!!!!!! LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL F!!!! HOW AMAZING IS THAT!!!! EARTH MAGIC. 🤯🤯🤯

The Shipibo healing traditions are rooted in generations of knowledge and deep relationships with these plants, seeing them as master teachers and allies.

This flower bath ritual is really beautiful. It’s a cleansing and renewal. Before an ayahuasca journey, it marks a threshold: stepping out of everyday life and into a space of reverence and openness- they offered it twice while I was there and you can see the second time how much i already have that ayahuasca glow about me 🥰I love this moment of reverence and gentleness before drinking a cup of ayahuasca which is not for the faint of heart.

I’ll be sharing my experience during these last 3 ayahuasca ceremonies on @thewooreport Oct 28 !!! Be sure to follow along and def lemme know if you’re interested in going I have a code for you for $200 off your @soltarahealingcenter retreat!! by @soltarahealingcenter

This is an Icaro.

Icaros are the voices of the plants, sung by the Maestros during ceremony. They are never pre-written. They are created and received in the moment, just for you.

Each Icaro carries intention, healing, and guidance, calling in what’s ready to be remembered. It’s not something you simply hear. It’s something you feel.

For those unfamiliar with this part of the tradition, Icaros are one of the most sacred tools a Maestro carries. They aren’t performed so much as channelled, shaped by what the Maestro perceives in each person and each moment of ceremony.
