Oh, hi 👋🏾 💫 by @somethingaboutashley

When I don’t know what to do, I always know what to do.

Sometimes, finding joy in the seemingly smallest things is the exact antidote we need.

These sunflowers are beautiful, but they represent so much more. They represent willingness to try something new. The consistency of showing up. The seasons when I took breaks because life was overwhelming. They represent picking back up with what I know works and choosing it again and again.

In doing so, the work allowed me to bring what I grew outside into my home.

And home has always been me.

A few years ago, someone asked me, “What defines you?” Recently, that question found its way back into my spirit.

I know one thing that defines me is growth and the willingness to keep growing.

I’d be curious how the version of me three years ago would have answered, but I wouldn’t interrupt her. That was her story then.

I’m walking in the now. 🌻 by @somethingaboutashley

Carlisa, you were truly the most beautiful bride…inside and out. It was an honor to stand beside you as you walked into this new chapter as Mrs. Dolphin. 🐬

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, joy, laughter, and love. Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. Dolphin! 💍✨

I spent all night talking about my bouquet catching strategy, only to retire from the competition and let Lala take home the win. 😂💐 by @somethingaboutashley

I started gardening last year with no idea what I was doing…I just felt led to do it.

Since then, I’ve learned so much simply from being willing to mess around and find out.

I’ve learned:
-Don’t plant more than you can maintain.
-Some herbs, veggies, and flowers help each other grow, while others will literally drain one another. Had to find this one out early 👏🏾
-A lot of what we produce is meant to be shared with someone else.
-Consistency is always key.

Honestly, I think gardening is a godly thing. When I’m out there for hours sometimes, God plants seeds in me too and gives me so much peace.

And if I’m being honest… this garden is also my crash-out control too😅. Yes I’m a therapist, but pray with me don’t play with me!

I’m still learning as I grow, but this hobby is one that truly reciprocates. When I pour into it, it pours right back into me.☺️🌿 by @somethingaboutashley
