Wishing everyone out there a Merry Christmas. If you have to go out somewhere in my beautiful Lagos, or anywhere else in the world, do remember to PROPERLY wear a mask. This is an image I shot recently on a typical market day at the Ikotun Market, one of the largest and busiest in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos.⁣ ⁣ #Swipeleft to get a feel of what this busy spot of the market looks like without its hustle and bustle on a market-free day in my beautiful Lagos🇳🇬.⁣ ⁣ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #New #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #travel #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Nonstopstreet #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #AfricanArtistFoundation #aaflagos #rawphotomag #DreamInStreets #streetziers #SomewhereInNigeria by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
Somewhere in my beautiful Lagos, the legendary @felakutiofficial probably didn't have this image in his head when he wrote those famous lines 'when Trouble sleep, Yanga go wake am', As for me, I'd just say borrow trouble for yourself, if that's your nature, but don't lend it to your neighbours.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #Children #Covid19 #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #ArtXLagos #aaflagos #rawphotomag #streetziers #DreamInStreets #SomewhereInNigeria by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
Let's go there! Where? Anywhere, so long as it is somewhere in my beautiful Lagos. Just be safe and practise some good old social distancing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #Children #Covid19 #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #ArtXLagos #aaflagos #rawphotomag #streetziers #DreamInStreets #SomewhereInNigeria by @somewhereinlagosnigeria

Somewhere in my beautiful Lagos, before the advent of COVID-19, some gentlemen engage in a game of drafts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I miss those days when we could all socialise without the fear of the virus.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But COVID-19 is real and we should always wear a mask and practice social distancing whenever we are in a public location. It's nothing to be ashamed of!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #TBT #Throwback #Covid19 #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #NairaMarley #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #ArtXLagos #aaflagos #rawphotomag #streetziers #DreamInStreets #SomewhereInNigeria by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
It might be a holiday, but every day is a hustle-day in my beautiful Lagos.⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣Do wear a mask when you have to step out though. Somewhere in my beautiful Lagos 🇳🇬...one of the city's residents exemplifies why the race of life isn't always for the swift.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Watching him reminded me of the eternal words of Gandhi that strength does not come from physical capacity but from an indomitable will! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #Christmas #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #Photo #travel #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Nonstopstreet #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #AfricanArtistFoundation #aaflagos #rawphotomag #DreamInStreets #streetziers #SomewhereInNigeria by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
Heading into the sunset, somewhere in my beautiful Lagos, behind a disciple of the incredible @nairamarley.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #Marlians, from my (little) understanding of the movement, are driven by certain philosophies, belief and views, top of which is not caring about what people think or say about them, so long it makes them happy.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hope you did things that made you happy this Christmas Day?⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #Christmas #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #MerryChristmas #NairaMarley #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #ArtXLagos #aaflagos #rawphotomag #streetziers #DreamInStreets #SomewhereInNigeria⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
You should never be ashamed to wear a mask. It is not a sign of weakness. It helps reduce viral transmission (if worn correctly) and prevent the asymptomatic spread of viruses, including #COVID19.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By wearing a mask you're also protecting others from illness. If ill, wearing a mask is a sign of respect for others.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To cut a long story short, wearing a mask to protect yourself is normal, and simply good hygiene.⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wishing everyone out there a Merry Christmas. Hope you wore a mask when you stepped out to have a jolly good time with friends and family?⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📷 @hurrikaneandrew⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #somewhereinlagosnigeria #Christmas #Nigeria #Africa #streetphotography #Lagos #Streets_Storytelling #MerryChristmas #travel #picoftheday #photooftheday #MyFeatureShoot #africanphotography #SPiCollective #everydayafrica #everydaylife #AfricaAmazing #Streetlife_Award #IG_Africa #IGPhotoWorld #yourshotphotographer #ExploreAfrica #ThisIsAfrica #ArtXLagos #aaflagos #rawphotomag #streetziers #DreamInStreets #SomewhereInNigeria⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ by @somewhereinlagosnigeria
