First Half-Marathon | 2h 44m 🏃‍♀️🧡

This race was very personal to me.

I have went through so much in the past 3 months and really didn’t have the time to really prep for this race. Especially after the week I had at work, I was really thinking of backing out and just not show up. But, then I realised that the only competition really, is you vs you.

I had a long deep chat with God as I was driving this morning, and I just asked God to really guide me spiritually, emotionally and physically throughout this race.

And listen, my God was there through every kilometre. He didn’t leave my side once, and He really carried me through. God showed me today that I CAN do hard things through Him, and even though my heart-rate was through the roof the whole race, there was an unexplainable calmness that I was feeling throughout and THAT is how I know my God is a living God.

Thank you Jesus, all the glory goes to you 🫶🏻🩵 by @sonandre_dreyer99

4 weeks out until @letsgopotch 🧡🏃‍♀️

This week has been heavy in the running community, I felt guilty every time I thought of my next running session and how privileged I am to still be able to find ways to train for the goals I have set out for myself. 💜💜

My dad is my bodyguard when I go on my runs on Sunday’s and if it wasn’t for him driving patiently behind me, I would have not been able to look forward to step onto the start line in October 🙏🏻🧡 we need more men like my dad - taking time out of his restful Sunday, to help me reach my goals. For that, I thank you Dad 🙏🏻

Head to the Let’s Go Potch account to secure your ticket and join me on 17 October 2026 - I am not worried for pace for this one, only to finish strong and grateful to have a functional body to move in 🧡

21km debut loading in October 2026 🌟🏃‍♀️

Running on uneven farm roads means I have to be smart. I’d rather take the safer and slower route than risk rolling an ankle or twisting a knee. It’s not always ideal, but it’s the reality of where I train.

With just six weeks until my first halfie, I need to take all the time of training I can get. There are no shortcuts to a finish line worth celebrating, just ordinary days where you choose to show up and keep going no matter what.

🌟 Every run is building something.
👟 Every kilometre is adding confidence.
🏃‍♀️ Every step is getting me closer to the goal.

I’m trusting the process, embracing the challenge, and reminding myself that progress isn’t made in one perfect run, it’s made by showing up again and again.

Have you secured your @letsgopotch ticket yet for the 17th of October 2026? 🎟️🏃🏼‍♀️ by @sonandre_dreyer99

GRWM for Hyrox class 🩷🏃‍♀️🌟 by @sonandre_dreyer99

A little life update. 🤍

• Corporate life has been tough, but I’m grateful every step of the way.
• This week, I’m taking a breather.
• I’m learning that burnout isn’t failure.
• I’m 7 weeks away from my first 21km.

If you’re on your own running journey, training for a race, or lining up at @letsgopotch, I’d love for you to come along on this journey with me. 🏃🏼‍♀️✨

Let’s encourage each other all the way to the finish line. 🤍

We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” - Romans 5:3-5
