Bali seminar announcement 🌴 Bambu Fitness

I'm super excited to be teaming up with Will Henke, founder of Bambu Fitness. Will is a coach I've respected for many years, with a wealth of knowledge when it comes to mastery of the barbell.

We're putting our heads together for one afternoon to coach you through the snatch and the clean and jerk.

3 hours, hands on. We start with mobility so you can actually hit your positions, then a snatch masterclass, then a clean and jerk masterclass. Every lifter in the room gets personal cues from both of us.

Any standard is welcome, from your first ever snatch to lifters who've been stuck on the same numbers for years.

Sunday 8 November, 4 to 7pm, Bambu Fitness. 40 spots, pay on the day.

Opening dinner in style.

This week, we’ve brought together an incredible group of people from seven different countries, all the way to Bali, for something pretty special.

People in their 30s, 40s, 50s and even 60’s, all sharing the same desire to become the best version of themselves.

And I think that’s what makes this community we’ve built at SWP so special.

These are people with careers, businesses, families and responsibilities, yet they’re still choosing to invest their time, energy and resources into their health, longevity and personal development.

They still want to learn. They still want to get stronger. They still want to see what they’re truly capable of.

And I absolutely love that.

I think there’s something incredibly powerful about surrounding yourself with people who refuse to let age dictate their ambitions or what they believe is possible.

Because the reality is, you’re never too old to start putting yourself first, learning something new or chasing a version of yourself you’ve yet to become.

This week is going to be something special, and I already know these people are going to leave Bali with so much more than a few technical improvements in their lifting.

I can’t wait to share more of their stories with you over the coming days.

Never let your age become the reason you stop finding out what you’re capable of. ❤️ by @sonnywebstergb

Trained with Olympian @sonnywebstergb 🇬🇧

Before any heavy lifts, he worked on how I move: my setup, my positions, my mobility. Most problems under the bar start there, not with strength.

Position first. Load later.

14 people from all corners of the world, brought together by a shared passion for becoming the very best versions of themselves.

And I think there’s something incredibly special about that.

Different countries, careers, backgrounds and stories. But all connected by this desire to keep learning, challenging themselves and discovering just how much more they’re capable of.

This week I’ve had the privilege of welcoming 14 of my SWP clients to Bali for what I hope will be one of the most memorable weeks of their lives.

Weightlifting has given me so much throughout my life. It’s taken me around the world, introduced me to extraordinary people and taught me lessons that have shaped who I am today.

And now, one of the most rewarding parts of my life is being able to give some of that back.

To bring together people who might never have crossed paths, to share experiences, build friendships and push each other towards something greater.

Because this week is about so much more than improving someone’s weightlifting.

It’s about creating an environment where people can completely redefine what they believe is possible for themselves.

Sometimes I look around at what we’ve built with SWP and find it surreal that a sport I fell in love with as a kid has become something that brings people together from all over the world.

I don’t think I’ll ever take that for granted.

Here’s to an extraordinary week in Bali. ❤️🌴 by @sonnywebstergb

I could charge you $50 for this. Here’s why I’d rather give it to you for FREE.

Something I’ve noticed after years of coaching thousands of athletes is how easily people spend $50 here and there on another programme, hoping it’s finally going to fix their lifting.

It’s a small enough investment that if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t really hurt.

But what about the time you’ve lost?

The reality is, information is rarely what’s holding people back. Almost everything you could ever want to learn is already out there if you’re willing to spend the time researching it.

But time is your most valuable asset.

And if you genuinely want extraordinary results, you need to invest in expert guidance, individualised coaching and accountability that helps you turn knowledge into progress.

Which brings me to this little gift 🎁

I’ve taken everything I would teach someone starting from scratch who wanted to master the snatch and put it into one comprehensive handbook.

Over an hour of visual education, step-by-step breakdowns of every component, and a structured protocol to help you put everything into practice.

It’s the knowledge I’ve refined throughout my career as an Olympian and coach, designed to save you a shitload of time and frustration.

And I want you to have it for FREE.

No payment. No risk. I’ve made taking that first step as easy as possible.

All you need to do is comment SNATCH below and I’ll send you my complete Snatch Handbook as a gift. 🎁 by @sonnywebstergb

Your favourite exercises is actually an F tier 😳

There are hundreds of exercises you could be doing, but understanding which ones actually carry over to your snatch and clean & jerk, and more importantly, how and when to use them, can completely change the rate at which you progress.

I’ve just put together a full tier list ranking the best and worst accessory exercises for Olympic weightlifting, breaking down what makes each one valuable, where people go wrong, and how to get the most out of them.

If you’re serious about improving your technique, building stronger positions and making faster progress in this sport, this is a video you need to watch.

At 72 years old, Janey has just matched her lifetime PBs on both her front squat and back squat.

And I think there’s a really important lesson in this that goes far beyond the numbers on the bar.

There comes a point in your life where your perspective on progress starts to change.

You spend years chasing the strongest you’ve ever been, but eventually you start to appreciate just how incredible it would be to maintain that level of strength for another 10, 20 or even 30 years.

Think about that for a second.

How many people would give anything to be as strong and capable at 72 as they were in their 40s or 50s?

But here’s what makes Janie’s progress so special.

Although the numbers on the bar are the same as her previous bests, the athlete lifting them today is completely different.

Her range of motion has improved, her positions are stronger, her movement is more controlled and her technical understanding is better than ever.

The weights she once managed to lift on her very best day are now being lifted with a much better foundation underneath them.

And that’s what excites me most as her coach.

Because we’re developing the physical capacity and technical confidence that will allow her to keep progressing for years to come.

I think we get so caught up in measuring progress by the amount of weight we lift that we sometimes forget just how valuable it is to improve the quality of what we’re capable of doing.

Especially as we get older.

Imagine being 72 years old and still having the opportunity to become a better version of the athlete you were yesterday.

That’s something worth training for.

And I genuinely believe more people deserve to experience it.

Incredibly proud of you, Janey ❤️ by @sonnywebstergb

You can spend years working hard at weightlifting and still feel like you're guessing.

You know the lift didn't feel right. You watch the video back. But knowing what went wrong and knowing how to change it are two very different things.

That's what Will Henke and I want to help you with at Bambu Fitness.

On Sunday 8 November, we're spending three hours coaching you through the snatch and the clean and jerk. We'll work on the positions, the mobility you need to get into them and the technical details that make your lifts feel more consistent.

Bring the lift you've been struggling with. Ask the questions you've never had answered. Leave with something specific to work on when you get back to training.

Whether you've found weightlifting through CrossFit, you're learning the lifts or you've been stuck on the same numbers for years, you're welcome to join us.

There’s something pretty special about watching someone you’ve known since you were 15 years old continue to chase their dream.

I’ve just spent a couple of days catching up and playing golf with my good friend Leon here in Dubai, and it’s reminded me how much respect I have for people who are genuinely obsessed with becoming the best version of themselves.

Leon and I went to golf academy together at 15. Just two young lads who loved the game, with big ambitions and no idea how much work it would take to get there.

Fast-forward all these years, and what I admire most about Leon is his relentless pursuit of improvement.

I’ve watched him dedicate years of his life to developing his game, his mindset and his ability to perform. The hours on the range, the sacrifices, the setbacks and the determination to keep getting better, even when the results don’t reflect the work being put in.

And he’s still chasing it. Still pushing towards his ambition of making it onto the PGA Tour and winning at the highest level.

We live in a world where we’re so exposed to the finished product that we forget how much goes into creating it.

We see incredible performances and assume natural talent or overnight success, without ever seeing the years when nobody was watching.

One of my favourite things about these last few days has been playing alongside someone who’s better than me. Learning, asking questions and raising the standard I expect from myself.

I’ve always believed the people you surround yourself with have an enormous influence on who you become. Being around people with that same hunger to improve is infectious.

Regardless of where Leon’s journey takes him, there’s something incredibly admirable about someone who refuses to settle for anything less than what they believe they’re capable of.

Success is incredible to witness. But when you’ve seen the work behind it, you appreciate it on a completely different level.

Proud of you, mate. Excited to see just how far you can take this. 👊 @leonfricker by @sonnywebstergb
