I’m getting ready for the 2026 London West Spartan Weekend

📍 Culden Faw, Henley-on-Thames
📅 16–17 May 2026

I’m excited to get back out there, take on the course, have fun and give it my best. Spartan weekends are always special — mud, obstacles, big smiles and a brilliant atmosphere.

Time to get training 👊🤎 by @sophie___jeffery

Had an awesome day at the first Rumble Trophy today!
Loved both the 400m and 3K courses — even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits 🌧️💪

OCR is about so much more than just racing… it’s the friendships, the laughs, and the memories we make along the way 💛

Big thanks for a brilliant day @rumblefitness_uk by @sophie___jeffery

Really happy with my 21:51 PB 🥳 but I think the best bit was having everyone there together ❤️

A massive thank you to @greenwichparkrun for having us and for possibly the best (and scariest 😂🎃👻) parkrun briefing ever!

So much fun running with everyone.
Different teams, one big OCR family ❤️

Can we do it again next weekend? 😂

What an absolutely INSANE RIB ride today in Haugesund! 🚤🌊🇳🇴🔥

We were smashing through waves around 4 metres high 😳 They stop the RIBs going out when they hit 5 metres, so we weren’t far off the limit! 🌊

Sophie really didn’t want to go at first… and by the end she was saying it was one of the best things she’s ever done! 😂❤️

Absolutely gutted I couldn’t get the camera out while we were flying along at speed, so no proper action shots 📸😂 But Emma saying she wasn’t sure if she’d wet herself probably tells you everything you need to know about the ride 🤣🤣

What an experience! 🔥🚤

What an amazing morning at the 10-year anniversary of Colchester Junior Parkrun! 🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We were both really proud to get new PBs today, but the best part was being part of such a special event with so many brilliant runners, families and volunteers.

It was also great to see so many Colchester Harriers there, all supporting each other and helping create such a brilliant atmosphere.

A huge thank you to everyone who makes Junior Parkrun happen every week. Without the volunteers, none of us would get these chances to run, improve, make memories and enjoy mornings like this.

It was incredible to have Paris 2024 Olympic medallist Lewis Richardson there to lead the warm-up, start the run and cheer everyone on. What an inspiration for all the young runners there today. 🥊🥉

Happy 10th anniversary to Colchester Junior Parkrun — what a morning to remember! by @sophie___jeffery

The end of one chapter ❤️

I’ve decided to step away from competitive OCR.

OCR has given me some amazing experiences. I’ve been lucky enough to race in places like the Bahamas, across the UK and in Europe, and I’ve made memories I’ll never forget.

I’ve won World, European and British titles, and I’ve even been invited onto BBC Essex to talk about competitive OCR and my journey in the sport.

I’ve also met some of the best people in the world through OCR and made some of my best friends along the way. That means just as much to me as any medal.

I will still do OCR but it will now be about having fun in the open waves, enjoying the obstacles and making more memories.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, coached me, raced with me and cheered me on.

I’m not leaving OCR completely. It will always be a special part of my life.

I’m just choosing to enjoy it in a different way now. ❤️ Thank you for everything 🙂 by @sophie___jeffery

Such a special moment meeting @ellie_challis 🙌

We were so lucky to have Ellie on our team. It made the whole event even more special.

A BIG thank you to @findyouractive Active Essex for organising the day and bringing everyone together. We got to meet Ellie, hear about her journey, try inclusive sports like powerchair activities and boccia, and talk about how we can help make sport feel more welcoming for people with disabilities.

Ellie spoke about her swimming journey, her medals from Tokyo and Paris, and how much movement and sport has helped her. She was the youngest member of ParalympicsGB at Tokyo, where she won silver in the S3 50m backstroke, before going on to win Paralympic gold at Paris 2024.

What really stood out was how being active can help with so much more than fitness — confidence, mental health, friendships and just feeling good.

Ellie has achieved SO much, and was so kind, positive and easy to talk to. That really stood out to us.

Thank you Ellie for taking the time to speak with us. You are a brilliant role model and a massive inspiration. 🙌 by @sophie___jeffery

3rd place at Spartan 🥉🔥

Really happy with this one. The course was tough, the obstacles were fun, and I gave it everything.

Well done to everyone who raced — loved being out there 👊🧡

Had the best time at @missionoutadventure 🔥

My favourite obstacle was the Jump Tower. There were three heights, and you had to complete the lower height first to get a stamp on your hand before moving up to the next one.

I managed to get to the second height. I was really scared at first, but the marshal was so nice and gave me some great advice, which really helped.

The juniors at @rumblefitness_uk would absolutely love it here

@uk_ocr_harry did amazing too — he completed all three heights first go! 💪🔥 by @sophie___jeffery
